"Will the Wise. Why is she here?" Lucas asks.
"Wow. That was insensitive."
"I'm sorry! You're cool! But why?"
"She's got this week off. Since next week-"
"Is your Prom and Graduation?" Mike asks. I nod my head. Will smiles beside me innocently and El seems to be allowed to go to the school.
Surprisingly.
"Well, she can't stay here." Mike protests angrily.
"Mike..." El says softly. "She can stay."
El then turns to me. "November? Daryl?"
"They're on they're way. How are my kids doing?" Steve asks, his cool ass sunglasses reflecting the sun.
"Who's that?" Will asks.
Steve looks mortified.
"Steve. Y/n's fuck buddy."
"NOVEMBER!!"
November giggles, with Daryl running over to El and giving her a hug. I roll my eyes and November snickers. "Really, he's just her boyfriend though."
"Yeah!! NOVEMBER!!" I sass.
November sticks her tongue out at me so I stick my tongue right back out at her.
"Gross, you guys act like children." Mike exclaims.
"But Mike...they are children." El tells them.
"WoW! ThAt WaS iNsEnSiTiVe!" Daryl scoffs, putting his hands on his side. El smiles softly and Mike rolls his eyes. Max takes notice and scoffs. "Stop being such a grumpy bum. Lighten up."
"What are they even doing here in the first place?" Mike asks.
"We..." Steve gestures to his, November, and Daryl's car. "Are going to the Quarry."
"The Quarry? That place? It's out of Hawkins!!" Will says surprised.
"Yep. And it's in a town called Derry. It'll be fun." I chuckle.
"You can just float in the water, what's wrong with that?" Steve smirks, swinging his keys around his fingers. If flings off in a random direction and Steve sighs.
"This is gonna be great!!" Max grins excitedly. "Screw the public swimming center, the Quarry we are rooting for!"
Daryl and November exchange proud glances. Me and Steve do the same.
Max is excited.
Will is hyped.
Dustin is happy.
Lucas is pumped.
Mike is annoyed.
El is confused.
What's happening? She wonders.

We park our cars not too far away from the Quarry. After the kids got their swimming gear, we drove to Derry. It took a couple hours, but it was definitely worth it. Derry is a scary place. And red balloons float around.
