"Who was that?" asked the blonde.
"My dad again. I don't know if he remembers that I'm no longer under his control," the brunette replied, tucking her phone back into her pocket.
"Trying to push you towards the golden boy, Peggy?" she smirked.
"As usual. Steve must be so annoyed at parents pushing their daughters into a relationship with him just because his parents are rich."
"All of our parents are rich."
"You know what I mean, Nat."
"Well, then fuck them. You do what you want."
"I'll toast to that."
The two raised their drinks and clinked their glasses.
"You two do know it's eleven a.m., right?" A bartender judged.
"Oh shit!" Natasha exclaimed, checking her phone. "We're supposed to meet the others for lunch in fifteen minutes!"
"Crap, okay...uh..." Peggy fumbled with her wallet and slapped the money on the table. "Here's for the drinks, thank you!"
They scrambled outside and Natasha pulled out her phone to speak to her driver, who promptly showed up and drove them to their lunch meeting.
"Thanks!" Nat shouted and walked with her friend into the restaurant, which was extremely fancy, at least enough so to make Peggy and Natasha feel under-dressed, which they never were. "Who organized this again?" she whispered.
"James, I think."
"Of course...I should've worn a prom dress, that fits this place."
A waiter showed the girls outside to the group of 9, already sitting down.
"Where were you guys? We've been waiting for you," Maria asked, staring at her menu.
"Bar," Natasha replied nonchalantly, receiving a look from Peggy and an approving nod from Carol.
"You were at a bar...at eleven o'clock in the morning?" Sam continued.
"Yes."
"Why?" asked Wanda.
"We wanted to...now stop asking questions, you love us anyway," Natasha said, her and Peggy sitting down.

They had all finished eating and were getting ready to leave. The eleven of them: Thor, Peggy, Carol, Sharon, Natasha, Jane, Steve, Wanda, James, Sam, and Maria were friends in highschool and remained so afterwards. They were also amongst some of the richest families in New York.
"So, there's a party at my place later, anyone in?" Thor asked.
"Hell yeah." Carol answered, and the rest gave an assortment of yeahs, yes's, and nods.
"Great. I'll see you guys there."
