Living with the Taylor's

Chapter 5

After health class, Carter brought me to my next class, AP Physics. After only one day, I was already completely in love with my teacher. He was amazing and 100 times better than any other teacher I ever had. After the bell rung. I walked outside to see Caleb leaning up against the lockers waiting to bring me to lunch. "You guys don't need to walk me everywhere. I'll be fine" I explained. "Says the girl who can't even find her way to her bedroom" Caleb giggled. He lead me outside to a little courtyard filled with picnic tables. Over in the corner I saw Carter, Cody and Cole all sitting together.

"Do you all sit together everyday?/' I asked approaching the table. "No" Cody said laughing. "We wanted to see how the first day was going."

"Olive, why aren't your sunglasses on?" Carter asked. "Oh sorry I completely forgot!" I said putting them on. The rests of the boys got really quiet. What is it with these glasses?

"Oliv-" Cole started when I felt something ice cold rush down my head and down my shirt. I spun around to see the girl with the black hair holding an empty soda bottle. "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!" She said very sarcastic. "Ang, are you serious right now?" Carter said sounding pissed. I was right. It was Ang. The girl that Carter tried to make jealous earlier. She smirked. "Nice sunglasses by the way" and walked towards the football players on the other side of the courtyard.

"Come on, Olive. I'll take you home." Carter started. "No I think you have done enough. Cody, Cole, Mary-Anne will bring you home. Olive we're leaving." Caleb cut him off. He put his arm on my back and lead me out the doors to the parking lot. By then I couldn't stop the tears rushing down my face.

As soon as we got home, I got in the shower. It was easily the longest sower of my live. I assume Caleb told Mary-Anne what happened because there was a couple red-velvet cupcakes sitting on my desk when I went back to my bedroom and Caleb was asleep on my bed waiting for me. I grabbed my clothes and got changed in the bathroom. By the time I went back he was awake.I didn't even care that my hair wasn't brushed or my eyeliner was smeared. Today was the worst day ever. I went over and sat next to Caleb and he put his arm around me so I snuggled in close to him. He smelt so good.

'What is it with the sunglasses that Carter gave me? I just don't understand." I asked with my head pressed against his chest. He paused for a moment. "You know how Taylor Swift' signature thing is her break up songs? Well I guess it kind of like that. Carter's signature thing is those sunglasses. You never see him without them and he has never let anyone ouch them let alone wear them. Ang knows that and I guess it really upset her so she wanted to retaliate." I paused for a second. "Why did he give them to me then?" It didn't make sense. "That' something you will have to ask him."
