Believe it or not but dealing with Connor Taylor was even worse than Carter. His ego was twice as big and seemed to make me the target of his jokes all morning. He wasn't nice, protective hot like Caleb or football, bad boy hot like Carter but he was more of a dangerous, older hot even though I knew he would never actually hurt me any more than my feelings. He wouldn't hurt me right? Well I had Caleb around to protect me just in case.

The twins got all the food and drinks ready while Alyssa and I decorated the living room and helped the DJ get set up so when he came back later he could start right away. Caleb and Connor set lights up outside and set up outdoor speakers. By the time we had to leave, everything was all set up and I ran upstairs to get ready. I finally found my way from the front door to my bedroom. I pulled in white shorts, black flip flops, and the gray and maroon Lincoln Athletics shirt that one of the boys most have left me. The name Taylor was written across the back. I let my hair fall in natural waves and added a little eyeliner and headed back downstairs.

"So, I see you got my present?" Caleb asked. "I figured as the head of the Taylor boys fan club you had to have a shirt now that you will have to be at all of Carter's football games, Cody's baseball games, Cole's track meets, Cameron's soccer games and my basketball games."

"I'm only going tonight because I'm stuck having to go to this damn party and nobody else is home and who said I like you enough to go to your games?" I winked and headed out to his car where the others were waiting.

I couldn't help but stare at Caleb all the way to the game. He was flawless like the rest of the boys and so kind and gentle. How was he single? I'd have to add that to the list of questions to ask Alyssa.

During the game, I sat between Alyssa and Cole. I couldn't help but notice her and Cody holding hands. They were so cute together. Caleb sat behind me with his friends and played with my hair the whole game. Occasionally he would brush his finger tips against the back of my neck and chills would run down my spine. He pretended not to notice but I could tell he just didn't want to mention it.

I really didn't understand football but Lincoln High won which meant it was time to get ready for the party. I didn't understand enough to realize that Carter was incredible. This must be where he gets his ego. Caleb pulled into the driveway around 8 and the party didn't start until 9 so Hailey and I had an hour to get ready.

She curled my hair into perfect red ringlets that flowed over my shoulders then thickened up my eyeliner and added some smokey eyeshadow. She wouldn't let me look into the mirror until after we were both ready. I straitened her hair and added a little makeup. We both climbed into our dresses and added some finishing touches.

When we finally stepped in front of the mirror I couldn't believe my eyes. Yeah, people in my old school used to tell me how pretty I was all the time but this is the first time I felt truly beautiful. Even with the short dress that I never would have worn back in New York. New life, new me I guess.

"Girls, people are starting to get here so get downstairs." Caleb barged in. "Olive ,wait a second. Alyssa, she will meet you downstairs."

Alyssa left and turned and winked on the way out. "What are you wearing?" Caleb said angrily.

"A dress?" I asked. "Alyssa picked it out. Don't you like it?"

"Olive, you look gorgeous which is exactly why you can't wear that. It's short and tight. Go change now."

"Why!" This boy was really starting to bother me.

"Because it's bad enough I have to compete for your damn attention with Carter. I don't need any other boys near you!"

"You're so cute when you get jealous, Caleb." I said brushing up against him and I went downstairs.

There were already tons of people dancing. Somehow Carter spotted me right away and brought me over something in a red solo cup. "Babe, you look incredible" he yelled over the music. "Come dance with me."

I drank whatever was in the cup as fast as I could and headed out to the dance floor. Whatever it was tasted delicious and must have had a lot of alcohol because I was already starting to feel it. Maybe Carter wasn't so bad I thought while we were dancing. He was being a complete gentlemen and he was ignoring all the other girls that kept trying to dance with him. We headed out to the front porch to get some air since the backyard was full of kids too.

We made small talk for a little while, talking about school this week, the game and my hometown. "So, Olive, have you made a decision about you know yet?" He asked without looking at me.

"I still feel like I barely know you guys. I don't know. Is it even a good idea to talk to either of you. We all live together."

"Well, whatever you decide we will both support you, kid. By the way, that dress would look really now on my bedroom floor" he winked. I lightly lapped him on the hand. Before I knew it his lips were on mine. Passion exploded through me. Was every kiss like this? He wrapped his arms around my hips and pulled in on top of him. The kiss left both of us out of breath. It was incredible. I can't believe I just had my first kiss. Of course I couldn't tell him that.

"Woah" Carter said after a minute.

"Yeah. Maybe we should head back inside" I said. The silence was kinda strange.

I danced with Carter for a while longer before going off to find Alyssa. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and walked strait into Ang. "Move it bitch" she said pushing past me. What the hell was she doing here.

I found Alyssa outside dancing with the twins and another girl. Who i later found out to be a girl named Brookelynn. Apparently she ran track with Cole and she has a big crush on him. I hung out with them for a little when Connor found me and asked me to go get Carter's keys from him so that they could get more alcohol.

I searched the backyard, then the living room and everywhere else where guests were, even the front porch. No sign of him anywhere. I decided to check his bedroom. I mean he must be tired after such a long day maybe he slipped upstairs for a bit.

I opened the door to find the last thing I ever expected. There was Carter Taylor. The boy who just an hour ago had his lips all over me laying in bed naked with no one other than Ang, my new arch enemy.
