Jayda's POV

The next morning, we packed up all our stuff, as we were going home. Archie was going to head up to Canada, whereas Jughead and I were making the trek back to our hometown.

I was excited to go home, and excited to leave my mom. She hadn't said a word to me since I called her out last night, and I didn't expect her too.

I didn't want to leave Jellybean, I'd miss her a lot. It was nice to see my younger sister again, and catch up with her.

I packed my clothes into my backpack, and the door opened.

"All right. Well, I packed you guys some lunches for the road." Mom says, coming into the small room. There was a knock at the other door.

"Hey Jug, you mind getting that? It's probably Archie's ride." Mom tells him. Jughead stands up, and opens the door.

The person that comes through the door, is none other that Fred Andrews himself. Archie stands up, taken aback that his dad is standing right there.

"Dad." Archie says, and they immediately go into a hug. Archie goes out with his dad, and Jughead and I finish getting our stuff together.

I pull on my flannel, then put my backpack on before Jughead and I go out the door. Then, I spot Dad standing there.

"Dad? I see Mom called you." Jughead says, as we walk over to them.

"I thought you might be missing these." Dad says, showing us our Serpent jackets which he is holding.

"Hell yeah, I did." I respond, eagerly taking the jacket and throwing it over my flannel after taking my backpack off.

Dad pulls me into a tight, loving hug, then looks at me.

"I heard Penny was here, causing trouble." Dad says. "Are both of you okay?"

"We're good, Dad. Don't worry about it." I reply.

"No problem at all." Mom speaks up. "We don't have to worry much about Penny anymore."

Dad then looks at me, with a smile on his face.

"I brought someone with me." Dad tells me.

"What do you--?" I cut myself off when I see him. He's standing near where our bikes are, and has a smile on his face.

"Sweet Pea." I say. I run over to him, forgetting all my stuff that is on the floor by my dad's feet. It was like a moment from a movie, when two people get reunited after a long time. Except, it hadn't been a long time, only a few weeks.

I jumped into his arms, and he held me, savouring the moment of pure happiness.

We held onto each other for a while, happy about being together again.

"I missed you." He says in my ear.

"I missed you too." I say back. I look at him in the eye, and he smashes his lips onto mine. It was a moment of pure bliss, our lips moving in sync, after being apart for so long.

"Okay, I get that you guys haven't seen each other in a while, but it's making us all uncomfortable." I hear Jughead call out to us.

Our lips break apart, and I roll my eyes at my brother. I look back at Sweet Pea.

"I love you." I say to him.

"I love you too." He replies, smiling at me. He soon puts me down. I watch as Mom hugs Jughead, then looks at where I am across the lot.

"I'm good." I tell her, fake smiling at her, then turning away from her.

"What happened with your mom?" Sweet Pea asks me. I sigh, and roll my eyes.

"Well, I told her everything that happened in Riverdale since she left, and she really didn't seem to care. So, I ended up calling her out on at her bullshit, and now, here we are." I explain. He smiles at me.

"I'm proud of you." He tells me.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Because you stood up to your mom. I know how hard that is for you." He answers. I feel myself start to blush, which makes him smile at me. I look at the ground awkwardly.

Sweet Pea puts his hand under my chin, and moves my head to face him. He then kisses me again.

"Oh, God. Not again." We hear Jughead groan. We turn, and see that Jughead is now standing behind us. "Come on, let's just leave this place."

Dad comes over to us, holding my bag that I carelessly left at his feet.

"Thanks, Dad." I say, taking the bag from him and putting it on my back. He smiles at me, and puts my helmet on my head.

"Come on, we've got 18 hours on the road back to Riverdale." Dad says, making us all groan.

-----

Then, 18 hours later, we drive down the road, towards our hometown. When we get close enough, we see that the road is blocked, and there are a dozen guards in front.

We all park our bikes in the middle of the road, and walk forward to see what it's all about. We glance at the Riverdale sign, which now has a banner over it, reading: 'Official Quarantine Site. No Trespassing.'

"What the hell is this?" Dad asks the guards.

"Towns under quarantine." One of them answers. There are tons of barricades in front of a fence, and they are all armed with guns. "Governor's orders. No one in or out. Turn around, go."

"No, no, we live here." Jughead tells them.

"Not anymore. Turn around. Now." The guard says, and they all cock their guns and point them at us.

"Where the hell are we supposed to go now?" I ask.

"I have no idea." Dad answers.

So, there we were, standing on the road, at the entrance to where we lived, but not being able to go in. This was obviously Hiram Lodge's doing. Something to do with his drug business, most likely.

We weren't allowed to go home, after a few weeks on the road. Not able to see our friends again, being locked out of our own homes.
