The moon crashed down & split in two,
When the night fell, my heart did too.
Tossing & turning but sleep never comes,
Just the weight of hurt, crushing my lungs.

Whilst anxious what the future has in store.

I don't want the anguish this life brings.
Aside from my pain and unwell-being,
Looking at the sky has always felt freeing.
The stars have faded so the sun could rise,
Over this town that I so despise.
