I am a caterpillar, or so I like to believe,
Steps away from the wings I'd like to achieve.
People will laugh, they will humiliate & mock,
For the way I am a caterpillar, & still with my head high, I walk.
I will be fine eventually, all there is left is to wait,
So, I do not care when they talk & when they hate.
I will emerge from my chrysalis into a butterfly,
Spread my colorful wings & away from my hurt I'd fly.
For now, & today, I am still but a caterpillar,
With time & patience, I will soon be the winner.
