Breaking the distance 💫

Shubman's viewpoint :

"How were the papers? Did you perform well?" I asked Anushree curiously regarding her exams.

"Amazing." I felt her smile through the other end.

"That's great!" I exclaimed happily.

"Can we meet now?" I added questioning excitedly.

"Shub, I told my parents about you today..." She informed softly in response.

We were waiting for her exams to end before telling our families about our relationship. I didn't want her parents to get a bad impression of me, thinking of me as a distraction for Anushree.

We rarely talked in the past two months. I got busy with the domestic cricket camps and she was busy with her exams.

I feel like its been years after which I've heard her beautiful voice today. I have missed her so so so much.

"And?" I asked nervously.

"Papa tumse milna chahte hain." She notified.

"Is he unhappy about us dating?" I asked, feeling tensed because of her tone.

"No Shub, its not like that." She said in a low voice.

"Then?" I enquired.

"I'm just nervous. By the way, tum Amritsar kab aaoge?" She questioned back.

"Next week se IPL camps start hone waale hain, uske pehle try karta hoon." I answered.

"Jaldi aana, main wahi kar rahi hu." I felt her smile.

"Main kal subah ke tickets book kar raha hoon." I told her after turning on my laptop and booking the tickets.

"Tum kal aa rahe ho?" Anushree jumped in excitement on hearing me.

"Yes, for you." I smiled.

"I can't wait Shub! Come soon!" She exclaimed.

"I will baby. Anyway, what should I dress up in?" I questioned her.

"You always look soo handsome so, anything." She giggled.

"Haha okay." I chuckled lightly.

"Bye baby, I'll call later. Abhi packing karni hai." I added informing.

"Bye Shub, good night." Anushree greeted.

"Good night." I smiled and then we hung up.

I started packing all my stuff as soon as the call ended since I'm leaving early in the morning tomorrow.

I anyway had to leave for Mohali to visit my parents before the IPL camps begin, so it's no harm visiting Amritsar for a day to meet Anushree's family.

After setting an alarm, I laid down on my bed in order to sleep but I could barely get any. The entire night went by, in excitement of meeting Anushree and nervousness of visiting her family.

The flight journey was quite boring too, with me and just my thoughts alone.

Anushree's parents have invited me for lunch at their place today. At first I'm heading to the hotel I've booked for staying today, to freshen up.

After getting ready, I finally drove to the location Anushree has sent, in the car I've hired for the day.

As I almost reached, I saw Anushree standing in her balcony, probably waiting for me. Her lips formed a huge curve as soon as she saw me, spreading her positive vibes upto me too. I finally feel confident and happy.
