Marinette was on her balcony when she noticed something black flying above.

She looked up, to see a barely noticeable Chat Noir silhouette was sitting on a rooftop again.

This was the third night in a row where she was able to see him from her balcony window.

She glanced down at Tikki, who was smiling, giving her the okay to transform.

Though she didn't have super hearing, Ladybug was able to hear his quiet sobs.

Ladybug immediately wrapped her arms around him, letting him know that he was not alone as he basked in his sadness.

Being alarmed as one could be during a mental breakdown, he lifted his head.

They made eye contact and Ladybug could see just how much sleep, even though the masks, Chat Noir was getting each night.

She questioned him lightly.

"Chat, what's wrong? It's not like you are up at this hour. Three times in one week especially."

Chat looked at her through his tear-filled eyes. He closed his eyes and slowly sighed.

"I can't tell you. You'll hate me."

Ladybug looked at him wide-eyed and startled.

"I can never hate you. It's you and me against the world, remember?"

Chat peered up at her and took a deep breath.

"Ladybug, what if what I am about to say changes everything. What if it's the answer to everything we have been looking for for the past 2 years. What if it makes you leave me."

"Chat Noir, you're scaring me now

"I'll give you my miraculous and I'll give up on your Chat Noir. I never want to hurt you."

Ladybug gasped.

Her mind ran through all and every possible scenario.

'What could be so bad, he wants to give up his miraculous? Was he in danger? Did someone figure out who he was?'

Ladybug mustered up another breath and gave him a small smile. She put his hand on top of hers and laced it through.

"We are partners, okay? We are always been partners and we are always going to be partners. Tell me what is going on. As your partner and as someone who worries about you, I want to know. Okay?"

"My Dad.."

"My Father is Hawk Moth. I saw him talk to his kwami on Tuesday."

Ladybug's heart dropped.

"He doesn't know I saw him or that I'm Chat Noir, so for now, I am safe. I don't know..."

He started crying again.

"I don't know what to do when I'm not safe. Ladybug! My father is the reason for all the terror in Paris. He's the reason for my nightmares. He's the reason why the weight of the entire world is on two teenagers. We were just kids! He is the reason for it all. I can never forgive him and myself for not figuring it out sooner."

Ladybug felt sick to her stomach and she hadn't even eaten anything.

She calmed herself, even for a few seconds.

'Focus on Chat,' she told herself.

She shifted his face so he is facing her. Forcing eye contact, she cupped his cheek.

Foreheads nearly touching, she told him.

"Chat, Listen to me. Yes, this changes things, but one thing it doesn't change is that you and I are partners. It doesn't change when you are in danger and when you need me, I will be there. I'm right here," her voice broke as she started crying, "I'm right here for you, Chat Noir.

A wave of fresh tears fell from his eyes.

"After all this, we are still partners."

Ladybug sniffed, "it's you and me against the world."

She put up her fist pump. He stared at it wide-eyed, then put his against it.

"As always."
