I sprang over a lege , Ignoring the scrapes I got from hitting rocks on the ground. ¨There, catching up to us.¨ I said to my brother ahead of me. I ran caching up to him. ¨ We hurt their wings so they can't fly¨. Easier catch for me. Said a wolf behind catching up . But I quickly lost balance and slipped off the muddy slope. I fell unconscious and hit the ground. ¨ Why aren't they after me,because they think I'm so weak that I'd fall to my death and... ¨I thought as my thoughts cut off as I hit the ground.
I woke up in a muddy heap. I slit open a quarter of my eye and saw something horrifying there: the wolves that were chasing me and brother ,I looked at their jaws, they were covered..... wit..th.. blood. The blood of my brother. I shut my eyes tight and tried not to make noise or move. I heard them come closer. They smelt my mud trenched coat. ¨ they are finally all dead.¨ said one.¨ Leader will be pleased.¨ said another A few minutes later they flew out of the ditch. I opened my eyes slowly there a wolf length away was my brother, his greyish coat drenched in blood. I got to my front paws and dragged my back ones. I managed to get halfway there, but I fell back down. I tried to get on all fours but it was no use; they were injured from my fall. I closed my eyes in hopes someone would come for us.
Chapter 2 A new journey begins I opened my eyes once again and looked at my brother all torn up. ¨Green leave we made it¨ i said to my brother quietly. He didn't make a peep or even moved an inch. I tried walking but started to limp instead . ¨ I wasn't hurt that badly as I thought I was¨ I said to myself. I limped to my brother. Brother I said nudging him with my muzzle. ¨ {coughs} meadow I want to give you a warrior name before I go to the heavens¨ he said weakly but proud ¨ ¨what no brother you can't go yet, please don't leave¨ I cried. ¨Im dying sister, but i'll be with you in spirit.¨ before I go meadow I grant you the name sequoia. farewell.¨ he said and he laid his head back to the soil and took his last breaths. ¨no i cried to the sky in a mournful howl of great pain. ¨what shall i do with my pack and my whole family gone.¨ I began digging a hole, when I was done I put my brothers body in it and put dirt on top. ¨Green Leaves of the great plains you were a good warrior and brother.¨I said as I turned and walked to the forest out of the ditch. I ran for hours, even though I had been injured I needed to find someone to help me. I hit my paw on a tree stump and fell. ¨ow¨ I cried ¨I wish I could fly but my wing is broken¨ I laid my head on my paws thinking about what can cure my broken wing. I laid helpless on the ground knowing that nothing could cure a broken wing. I cried as I looked at my broken wing. I soon fell asleep under a spruce tree,wishing my wing would be healed so I could fly.
A few hours later,I stretched under the shade of the tree. I gasped at the sight of my wing no longer broken.¨How'd I heal so quickly, and a broken wing to.¨ I moved my wing back and forth. ¨well i guess it doesn't matter it's not broken anymore is it.¨ I smiled. I looked up ¨I must have slept into the night¨ I said looking at the crescent moon. ¨ Well time to move before some creature smells the blood on my coat. ¨ I stood and looked around. ¨ what this is not where i was before.¨ I heard the trees shake and there emerged a grey she wolf with violet feathers . ¨ Where am I! Who are you ! ¨ I cried. ¨calm down are you trying to wake the whole forest.¨ Said the grey she wolf. I laid back relaxed. ¨how long was I asleep?¨ I asked, tilting my head curious. ¨you only slept for a day, I cleaned your wounds your welcome.¨ She said going back to work on making some herbal medicine ¨thanks my name sequoia¨ I said trying to catch her attention. ¨my names midnight she said smashing up a type of plant.¨ She brought the herb to me ¨eat¨ ¨ok¨ I said munching it up, it didn't taste go but i continued to eat it. ¨I have a brother named Arrow, talking about him he's supposed to be home soon.¨ A few moments later a handsome black wolf with vibrant crimson feathers came in flying and landing by his sister. ¨so who's that¨ he said looking at me. He tucked his crimson wings on his back. He began walking towards me, circling me looking at me. "We'll have to bring her to the leader quabeck ." He said looking at his sister " How bout tomorrow." She said looking him in the eye. "Fine, tomorrow." He said skunking back. He walked to the den. Midnight nudged me. " Let's go,"she said, walking towards the den. I got up and followed. We're will my destiny lead to from here I began running towards her.
Chapter 3
I woke with a stretch kicking something. " oh gosh I'm so sorry arrow" I said in apology, I had kicked him in the face. " you know that hurt!!!" He growled "Heh, heh" I said scratching the back of my head with my wing. "Well we'll see what leader thinks of you very soon" He said a bit irritated. "ok but I'm mixing medicine up, go without me I'll be ok." "Ok see you when I get back." Arrow said in response. "bye" I said waving my wing as I lifted of with arrow. We flew in a grassy field with beautiful flowers of all colors vibrant yellow red orange pink and white flowers. At the center of the field there was a huge wolf twice Arrow's size. " who's this" the big wolf who I was assuming was their leader quabeck. " hi quabeck I know we're not supposed to bring outsiders in the middle of a war but this is sequoia" He said. "Is she a silver wolf or a gold." Said quabeck "I don't think she's old enough to tell cause she doesn't have any gold or silver yet." Arrow began " but I'm pretty sure we'll tell on her 1st birthday."
