Opposites Attract

Chapter 1

Bayley's POV:

RING RING RING

I woke up to the sound of my incredibly annoying alarm. I reluctantly stretch over and turn it off. Before I can lie back down, my mother bursts through my room door. "Good you're awake." She says. "You need to hurry up and get ready. You wouldn't want to be late for your first day at a new school. Would you?" She asks. "No I guess not." I respond getting out of bed. "Exactly, I'm off to work, I probably won't be home til late so heat something up for you to eat for dinner. And eat something healthy for breakfast, k?" "Okay." "Bye I love you." My mother blows me a kiss and I wave goodbye before she rushes off to work. I look around my room and see all the boxes I haven't yet unpacked as I sigh. "This is gonna be a long day." I say to myself and i begin getting ready.

Once I'm ready I grab an apple and my skateboard and rush through the front door. Before I can leave the yard, I have to go back because I forgot to lock the door.

I'm at my new school. I look at the huge doors completely fascinated by how big the school is. Then I walk inside. I start wondering around looking for the front office, I suddenly run into someone. "Watch it." The person yells. I look at the person and see the most beautiful girl with pretty brown eyes and long purple hair. She wore all black. "I-I'm sorry." I stutter. "Whatever." She says rolling her eyes and walking off. I stand there shocked for a second before being approached to by a very tall blonde.

"Hi, I'm Charlotte Flair. Do you need help? She asks me. " Bayley Martinez and yeah. I don't know where the front office is." I respond. "I'll walk you there."

We walk into this really big office and approach the lady at the desk. "This is Bayley Martinez, she's new here and she need her schedule." Charlotte says. I smile and nod. The lady typed on the computer then gets up and grabs my schedule from her printer. She hands it to me with a warm smile. "Thank you." I say. Just as we're about to leave a girl with orange hair runs in. Charlotte grabs my hand to make me stop. I watch her stare at the orange haired girl with a goofy smile. "Hey Becky" Charlotte says waving. Becky looks at us. "H-Hi Charlotte." She says back. I immediately take notice of her accent. "I'm Bayley, I'm new." I say politely. "Nice to meet you. She says with a smile. "You too." I say back before walking away and pulling Charlotte with me. I show her my schedule so she can see what classes I have. She smiles, you have every class with me except for third period." I nod. "Can I ask you something?" I say. She nods. "Do you like Becky?" I ask her with a little bit of curiosity in my voice.

Charlotte's POV

I blush at her question. "I think she's adorable and sweet." I say nervously trying to dodge the question. "But do you like her?" She asks again. I lie and shake my head 'no'. "She's way too nerdy for me." I tell her. Just as I say the, Becky rushes past us but runs into my shoulder. "Sorry." She mumbles. She sounded hurt. I start to feel bad. I think she heard me. "She likes you ya know." Bayley says regaining my attention. I smile. We stop in front of our class. I open the door for her. Soon as she walks in all eyes are on her. 

Bayley's POV

Everyone in the class was staring at me. They acted like they've never seen a new kid before. "You must be my new student." The teacher says. "I'm Mrs. Stratus." "Bayley Martinez." I say smiling politely. "Well Bayley there's an empty seat right beside Sasha." She says. I look at her confused not knowing who Sasha is. "The seat to the left of Charlotte." She tells me. I nod and walk to my seat. I look at the girl I share a table with, and it's the same girl from earlier. But now she's wearing glasses and reading a book. I continue to stare at her.

Sasha's POV

That new girl from earlier was staring at me. I didn't like it. "Problem?" I say rudely. "No sorry." She responds now looking at the ground. I roll my eyes. "She's kinda cute." I mumble to myself. "Thank you." She says quietly. 'Damn she's got good ears.' I think.

Bayley's POV

The first half of school was slow and boring. I liked that that girl Sasha was in all of my classes so far. I'm sitting at lunch with Charlotte, Naomi, Carmella, Roman, Jimmy, and Jey. They were all laughing about something but I was distracted. I was staring at Sasha. She was talking to three other girls. Charlotte elbowed me in the stomach softly gaining my attention. "You okay." She asks me. I nod then turn my attention back to Sasha's table. "Who are they?" I ask. "They're the most badass kids in school." Jimmy says. "They don't take authority figures or rules seriously. But they're not bullies. They scare the bullies. The pale one is Paige Bevis. She's English and really sweet.... Sometimes." He continues. "The girl next to her is AJ Lee. She's kind of a mystery. No one knows much about her. She's super tough though." Jey says. "The girl across from AJ is Ember Moon. Ember's really nice, she kind of reminds me of a baby wolf. Sweet yet vicious.  And the girl with the purple hair is Sasha Banks. She's the meanest, the toughest, and the nicest. She may not look like she has a heart, but she does. She stands up for the kids who get bullied. She's pretty cool." Naomi says.

All of a sudden, someone screams. The entire cafeteria turns their attention to where the scream came from to see Becky on the ground, covered in food and surrounded by a group of disturbingly happy teenagers. "I guess those are the bullies huh." I say. "Yep." My friends say in unison. I look back at Becky. Sasha and her friends now stood in between her and the bullies. "Leave her alone or I'll beat your ass like I did last week." Sasha threatened. I swear I saw every single one of the bullies trembling. "Sorry Sasha." A girl with pink hair says. "Yeah sorry Sasha." Another girl with dark red hair says. "And Becky." They all run away and Ember helps up Becky. Everyone goes back to they're normal conversing. I watch as the four girls comfort Becky and walk out the cafeteria with her.

Sasha's POV

It's after school I was walking around school campus waiting for Ember to get out of detention so we could walk home together. I walk around the back of the school toward the gym only to see the new kid getting beat up by the Riott squad and as the other two dumbasses who follow them around and terrorize everybody stands there and watch. I run toward them. I pull Ruby off first and punch her in the gut. The rest of the idiots stop and look at me in fear. "Hi." I say waving.  Liv grabs a hold onto Ruby and pulls her back. "Run before you get hurt." I tell them in a threatening voice. They all run off. I turn to Bayley and help her up. 

"You okay Bayley?" I ask a little concerned. "Yeah just a little stunned that's all." She replies. I smile. "Gym's that way." I tell her pointing in the direction of the gym. "Thanks." She says with a smile. Her smile made me feel warm inside. "You're welcome." I say before walking away. she calls my name, making me stop in my tracks. "I gotta ask you." She says. I turn around to face her again. "Yeah."
