Opposites Attract

Chapter 21

Charlotte's POV

The first couple weeks back to school went fairly well. Becky wasn't there with Sasha and I but Sasha wore a small smile everyday which made me feel better about everything. She wasn't broken yet but I knew that she was one thing away from falling completely apart. What happened today basically ripped her to pieces.

Flashback: Earlier this morning

Sasha and I were walking to class with some of our friends ready to basically die of boredom. She seemed happy despite the look of pain in her eyes. We giggle at Naomi's jokes, Ember's funny voices, and Nattie's  failed attempt to impersonate Becky's accent. We all really missed her and wanted to find something happy in all the stress and sadness. Sasha, Naomi and Ember were all stressed because they had yet to get their college applications out. Natalya already sent her's out as well as me. We continued to be cheerful and funny until we heard a small clicking sound come closer toward us. We turned our attention to the sound, finding a still injured Bayley and a cheerful Alexa. They both stopped in front of us and smiled. "Hey guys." Bayley said softly. We all waved. "Since when do you two hang out?" Sasha asks. "Since a few weeks ago. Bayley is staying at my house for a while too. At first my parents were hesitant because they weren't sure if my girlfriend should live with me. But they trust me so.." Alexa said trailing off at the end. Her smile grew bigger as she looked at Sasha. I turned to look at Sasha as well to find her eyes filling with tears. She struggled to hold them back and and eventually a tear fell. "Is it true." She asked Bayley. "Are you with her?" Bayley avoided eye contact and nodded. "As of last week."  She says. Sasha and Bayley had only been broken up for two weeks before she started dating Alexa. I watched as Sasha ran off trying to avoid crying in front of Bayley and Alexa. Naomi ran after her as me and Nattie look at Bayley. "You're better than that Bayley. Why would you jump into a relationship with someone you don't even like two weeks after you and Sasha broke up? I though you were smarter than that. You knew Sasha was hurt now she's hurt more. Because of you." Natalya says. "I'm sorry." Bayley whispers. I shake my head and leave to find Naomi and Sasha, Natalya following behind me.

Flashback over.

Sasha ended up leaving for the day because she cried so much in the school bathroom that she threw up. We made sure to get her work for her as well as Becky's. Sasha always got Becky's work for her because she wanted her sister to graduate. All day Alexa was pratically attached to Bayley and Bayley look as if she was happy with it. I wanted to go talk to her about it but I was to angry to deal with her. I went to Sasha's house to give her the stuff from school and found her on the couch in her living room consuming a big tub of ice cream. "It's like watching a sad movie." I comment. She looks up at me before looking back down at her ice cream. I set her books down on the table in front of her before sitting down next to her. "You never striked me as the type of girl that would cry over someone." I say. "You were always an 'I don't care' type person." She shrugs not making a single noise. "You need some real food, want me to cook something or do you want take out?" I ask. She shrugs. I realized that she wasn't going to talk at all. I got up and ordered some Chinese before getting her some water from the fridge. I handed her the water which she took before humming as a form of saying thank you.

After the Chinese food was delivered, I stayed with her a while longer to make sure that she ate something. I then gave her a hug and left to go see Becky. Seeing her seemed to calm me down the most, even though she was still unconscious. I told her everything that happened today hoping that she heard. "Sasha's pretty much broken. I didn't know she could love someone that much. If you were there I'm damn near sure you would've slapped the soul out of both Bayley and Alexa. You would've hesitated first though, debating whether or not you should be violent in this situation." I chuckled before crying a little. "She needs you. She needs her sister there with her right now. I need you too. I miss you Bex. I miss your voice and your laugh and your smile.  Please come back Becky. Come back to us." Tears ran down my face. Someone comes into the room and over to Becky's side. "Miss I'm sorry but you have to wait in a waiting room, the doctors are planning on running one last test on Rebecca." She tells me. "Her name's Becky, She hates being called Rebecca." I say to the woman, standing up. Before I can walk you of the room the woman stops me. "Have you read a fairy tale?" She asks me. Quiet a random question. I nod slowly. "You know what they say about true loves kiss." She motions for me to come back. I got back to Becky's side and kiss her gently. Nothing happens. "Worth a shot." I say.  The woman shrugs. "I heard you before I walked in, so I thought that maybe that would work." She explains. I smile at her and leave.

Five minutes later the woman comes out of the room and walks toward me. "You're Charlotte right Miss?" I nod. She smiles at me. "Someone keeps asking for you." She says happily. I follow behind her back into Becky's room and find my beautiful girlfriend awake and smiling.
