Sasha's POV
"I can't believe this is it. We're officially done with high school after today." Paige said while readjusting her cap. "Feels like yesterday we were just kids, fantasizing about how our perfect lives would be." "Sasha, do you remember when you first moved here?" Ember asks. I nod. "I was real sad and depressed because my mom and brother were dead and you were getting bullied by Ruby, Liv and Sarah so I beat them up for you. You were so shocked by me because I was so small yet so strong." I giggle at the memory. "And right then and there I decided you would be my best friend." "But you ended up switching schools after Elementary and I didn't see you again until after Paige and I became friends." "And then we met A.J and the rest is history."
"So what are yall studying in college anyway?" Bayley asks before kissing my cheek. "How do you not know?" She shrugs. "Sometimes I have trouble paying attention." She mumbled. "I'm going to study Computer science, Sasha's gonna study art, A.J's studying Journalism and Paige is studying Law." Ember said. "What about you what are you studying?" "I don't know yet. I wanna do something for kids who were abused, like pediatric psychology or something. They just need someone who understands them and has felt the pain that they felt." "That's sweet Bay." Charlotte runs up to us. "Have you guys seen Becky?" We all say no. "I can't find her anywhere." She starts to panic. "She's the Valedictorian how are we supposed to have a graduation without the valedictorian. And where is she, if something happened to her I swear. Oh my god what if she's hurt." "Charlotte calm down she's right there." Bayley told her pointing to the door. Charlotte turned to the door and let out a sigh before going to hug her girlfriend.
Becky's POV
I stumbled back as my girlfriend attached herself to me. "Don't ever scare me like that. I thought something happened to you." She whispered as she buried her face in my neck. I chuckle and kiss her cheek. "Come on I have to go over my speech." I tell her. Instead of letting go Charlotte holds on tighter. "Charlotte I can't breathe." "I don't wanna let go." She whines. "Can't you just hold my hand, I have to go over my speech here." She groans and releases me from the hug. I lock our hands together and pull her to a private room. "I just need five minutes to go over my speech, okay?" "Okay."
Bayley's POV
The ceremony is finally starting. Everyone is lining up in alphabetical order. Our school wasn't the biggest and there weren't a lot of students in the 12th grade so this wouldn't take that long. Someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Liv Morgan. "If you're gonna hit me can you at least wait until after we officially graduate?" I say quietly. "I'm not gonna hit you. I just wanted to apologize, The girls and I know we have a bad reputation and that we've done some sucky things to you and you're friends. We have to grow up eventually and we just wanted to do the mature thing before it's too late." She told me. "Is this a trick? You're not gonna like get me to trust you then gang up on me or anything are you?" "No it's not a trick, me and the girls are really sorry." She chuckled. "What about Seth and Dean?" "We dropped those idiots months ago. They're on their own." We giggle. "Well you are forgiven." Liv smiled and hugged me before switching spots in line with Ember.
We walked out and sat in our seats. I slowly got more and more nervous as the Principle, the Dean, and The student council president gave their speeches. Then it was Becky's turn. "Greetings, students, faculty, and parents. Welcome to the last stop of our wild ride. When I was younger my father told me to make sure that my senior year was memorable, but I never imagined my senior year to be like this. Throughout the year, I've made new friends, experienced new things, and learned new things about my family. Many of you have seen me on the news with my friend Bayley Martinez. She and I were both taken by her father and if it weren't for the help of my sister, girlfriend, and our friends, I wouldn't be standing in front of you right now. I am forever thankful for my friends and family. Without them I wouldn't even be valedictorian. They were my inspiration, my rock, my heart, and my life. Thank you all for being there for me, for caring for me, and for showing me what love is supposed to feel like. I am forever grateful for all the love and care I've received from you." She began to cry as she continued her speech for another three minutes.
