Chapter 11: The Mall

Addison point of view:

Bryce drove us to the mall and every second we got closer I got more and more excited. I haven't been to a mall in a long time because I haven't had the time to go, so when Bryce said that he would take me I was overwhelmed with excitement.

He parked the car and opened the door for me for the second time today. "So what store do you want to go to first?" Bryce asks me as the malls automatic doors open. "I was thinking American Eagle," I say pointing to the store. "Then let's go," Bryce says and he takes my hand again and pulls me toward the store.

I find a couple tops and a few jeans and shorts. Me and Bryce get into a small argument about who's going to pay. I tell him that since it's my clothes then I should pay, but Bryce just continues to push my hand with my debit card away. I finally agree to let Bryce pay for it but tell him that I'll pay next time but he just smirks. We go into a couple more times, Bryce paying for each one, I feel bad because I hate it when other people spend money on me.

"What do you think about this one?" Bryce asks me holding up a blue pair of swim trunks. "Too boring, I liked those watermelon ones," I tell him pointing to the ones he had put on the bench next to him in the dressing room. "You like those ones? I think I'll get those and the banana ones, cool?" He says picking up the swim trunks. "Cool, now it's my turn to find a swimsuit," I say and walk off to go find one. "Don't take too long because we have to meet everyone else at the carnival at 4..." his voice trails off. "What?" I ask him. "I completely forgot to text everyone the changed plans." "Ugh you idiot, text them right now! It's already 2:45," I say as he grabs his phone out of his pocket.

Bryce🥴: Sorry I forgot to tell you guys earlier but me and Addison decided to just stay out for the rest of the day and just meet you guys at the carnival

Quinton🥀: So me and Blake are gonna be third wheeling with all of you because everyone is coupled up besides us?

Bryce🥴: me and Addison aren't dating dickhead

Quinton🥀: yeah ok sure

Addison🥰: see ya'll at 4

Bryce point of view:

We get to the carnival around 4:15 and I see Kio, Olivia, Blake, Josh, Nessa, Jaden, and Mads at the front gate. We walk up to them and exchange our hello's. "Where's everyone else?" Addison asks them. "They're gonna be in here in about 5 minutes, they had to do some stuff before they came," Kio tells her. "Also, Bryce, why did you invite Tayler over if you weren't even gonna be home? He was so confused," Blake asks me, I actually was going to text him but I had forgotten to. "I don't know, but it's not like he's only friends with me, he's your guys friend too," I tell Blake right as everyone else walks up to us. "Hey guys," Dixie says and waves. Right then Tayler walks up too and I pull him aside to talk to him.

Dixie point of view:

We walk up to everyone else with Tayler following right behind us. I wave to them and say hi and I notice that Bryce has pulled Tayler over behind a wall so no one can see what they're doing. Nobody else seems to notice so I decide to nudge Josh and Jaden in the arms to get them look over at what's happening. Right when they see what's going on Griffin says, "Let's go and get our tickets and wristbands," and he walks inside along with everyone else. "Uh we forgot something in our cars so we'll meet you guys in there," I say and pull Josh and Jaden over to the wall where Bryce and Tayler are at. 

We stand on the other side of the wall trying to overhear there conversation. I can only hear snippets of their conversation until Bryce raises his voice saying, "Dude just do this for me please!" I peer over trying to look at them and I see Bryce holding some money, probably the money he got from the ring "Dude I can't do this, you're asking for too much," Tayler says to him. "Please Tayler! This really important!" Bryce begs. "Fine dude! I don't even understand what this all is for but whatever," Tayler says as he counts the money, "You sure this is enough?" Tayler asks as he holds up the money. This is sketchy as hell. "Yeah it should be," Bryce says, "Let's go, someones gonna hear us," he continues as he walks towards where we're at.

We try and run fast enough but before we could get to the gate Bryce shouts, "Hey!" Shit, we got caught.
