           HUSNAH'S POV

When we are finally out of earshot,and out of the mall Lee started"what was that all about"?and i feign ignorance knowing very well what she was up to"Lee please let me be,I'm not in the mood for any further explanation of any kind" sensing my mood and discomfort she sighed "you can tell me anything you know? but sincerely speaking,i saw the way you're sending daggers at Zaid Yasmeen's brother and i also saw the look he was giving you"that's it am done talking to you",i said walking away only to be stopped Lee"what's wrong with you? you've been acting strange since we left the mall"Lee said sounding worried,i sighed"Lee please I'll tell you about it when we get home okay?

I said hopping in the car not giving her the time to start asking me further questions"fine"she said sounding somehow disappointed at me for not telling her what's the matter with me,but she hopped on anyway.

The ride back home was filled with silence with non of us said a thing except for the radio that was on, i Lee was busy fiddling with my ring,a thing i do whenever am nervous or angry.Lee would glace at me every now and then to make sure that am really ok.

We reached Maitama within thirty minutes since Mambolo mall is not that far away from Maitama making it more easier for us to reach on time.I got out of the car with Lee hot on my hills, she's spending the weekend at our house since her parents travelled and her siblings also went for weekend at their aunt's house in Asokoro.

we said our Salam and headed to my room,oh i missed this room so much, it's only been some hours since we left the house but am missing it so much,now what will happen if i get married and leave this cozy and warm room.

Lee cleared her throat to get my attention in which she succeeded"husnah would you mind telling me what the problem is?"i sighed"it's about yasmeen's brother Zaid" and i told her about our encounter,Lee couldn't help but smile a little"you two will make a cute couple,

I've already started picturing your future together" Lee said dreamily,i scoffed"of all the things I've said,is this your only solution Lee i said angrily?"she just smiled"am sorry if i offended you,but look on the bright side how handsome and good looking he is."

"I've only seen him once when we were in higher institution he came to drop Yasmeen that's when i first met her remember the story?"yes and please you've told me that story before no need to tell me again and again"you see Lee once gisted me on how she met Yasmeen,that they met when one of their course mate was it hanifa or hadiza  tried  bullying Yasmeen and that's when my best friend Lee came to her rescue,and since then they became friends,since that day.

Lee used to tell me so much about yasmeen that i grew eager to meet her in person, she's a wonderful lady,we FaceTime once in a while in Lee's Mack book since she's more closer to Lee than she is with me considering the fact that they are course mate back then.

"Lee that's not enough fact to prove to me that he's as innocent as his sister or as he portrays to be.i said folding my arms to my chest"come on husnah, give it a try and see how he is but not by judging him without knowing who he really is, yasmeen even told me that he broke up with his girlfriend few months ago, seeing that she's a spoilt brat and his parents didn't approve of their relationship,so he cut it off as soon as possible, since the girl is also giving him a hard time"Lee added facing me fully.

"Lee, you of all people knew very well how i suffered a heart break when my wedding got cancelled,and now you're here persuading me to accept another relationship, it's not like he's even interested in me or something"Lee smiled warmly at me"alright husnah i knew for a long time that you're a "tough cookie" hard to break"she said air quoting the tough cookie part"am glad you know"i said sending her a playful glare to which she smacked my arm playfully.

"Common husnah let go downstairs and look for something to eat am soo hungry"Lee said practically dragging me with her downstairs"okay am coming no need to be all violent towards me"i said chuckling lightly,Lee is a foodie i swear,she doesn't play with her food i tell you.

After we chit chatted here and there,we ended up making waffles with whipped cream and a cup of coffee late for me and ice tea for Lee of course, that's how we spent the day making plans on how Lee's dad's birthday is going to be .Ummie came back after zuhr,we cooked mack and cheese for launch together with lemonade and muffins as dessert,and cooked rice and beef stew for dinner since Dad is on a business trip,so that's making Lee,ummie and i only in the house,oh yeah our house helps usually come in the morning and go in the evening.They only do the house chores and nothing more,i told them to live all the cookings to me since i can handle it well.
