        HUSNA'S POV             

     When Yasmeen hugged Lee and I goodbye,I saw the glare Zaid was sending her I don't know why though,"hushus I saw the way Zaid was looking at you, I pray that he has fallen in love with you already",she said in a dreamy tone,"ugh please Lee don't even start,"I said eyeing her up and down, she's really getting on my nerves,"i'm sorry but you need to see...,"please Lee am having a terrible headache right now I need to rest"I cut her mid sentence,you are a terrible liar my subconscious screamed at me making my frown to deepen,I know deep down that I also have a thing for him too but I don't want Lee to know that just yet if not i'm not going to hear the end of it.

Sighing I turned walking to our house with Lee trailing behind me,she even walked faster so that we can walk together,"ummm",she drawled giving me a goofy smile but I chose to ignore her,Lee can be so annoying at times but I love her so much that I can do anything to see her smiling all day.

      When we reached home,we said our Salam and headed inside meeting Ummi and Abba in the parlour discussing something,"Ummi Abba we're back"I said while Lee greeted Abba and Ummi respectively with that we went upstairs to my room,I saw Fateemah watching E-entertainment with all her attention focused on the tv,so I chose to startle her a bit as if Lee was reading my mind,she started smiling evilly at Fateemah 

"fateeeeeeee",Lee and I shouted at the same time causing Lee to fall down from the bed on her butt,"ouch ya husnah ya Lee you guys s caed the crap out of me,what was that for?",as if on cue we started laughing hard,"you need to see your face Fateemah you look like a lost puppy"Lee said in between laughter I also join in,call us crazy but that's what makes us the best friends we are,"gaskiya this is not fair at all,how can you scare me and laugh without saying sorry"Fateemah said pouting like a five year old,oh come on baby sis you know how much Lee and I love you and besides didn't you say I'm your favorite person in the world?"I said raising my brows a little, "yes I know but that doesn't mean you guys can scare me off like that"she argued, sighing I moved a little bit closer to where she is seated on the bed,

"look Fateemah we're so sorry we didn't mean to scare you like that,we just thought of having a little fun that's all"I said and Lee nodded in affirmation to which Fateemah smiled and gave us a bone crushing hug,"I love you guys a lot,I don't even know what to do when ya Lee is married"she said pulling away from the hug that almost suffocate me and Lee,"what do you mean by that,so you want her to stay unmarried for the rest of her life ba?" I asked to which Fateemah nodded no quickly with her eyes wide open,"that's not what I mean ya husnah,all am saying is that am going to miss hanging out with her and all the shopping,spa, outing and all"she ranted,"haba Fateemah getting married is not the end of the world I'll be visiting you guys frequently seeing we're neighbors and family,and besides it's not like am getting married tomorrow or something"Lee said the last part glaring at Fateemah  to  which  she giggled in
response"oh God am already missing you ya lee" Fateemah said almost choking Lee as a result of the tight grip.

  It's been two hours since Lee  left but not without reminding me about 'zaid's topic' as she said, immediately after maghrib prayer,I said my azkar with that my thought drifted to what Ummi said about me  giving people a chance,I sighed unplugging my phone from the charger and logged into my Instagram account to wile away time.

"Ya husnah Ummi is calling you she in Abba's parlor", Fateemah said  coming inside my room breathing heavily as if she ran a maraton,"ok am coming fatiti"I said knowing how much she hated the name,she frowned deeply telling me how much she hated being called fatiti to which I just laughed it off and make my way to Abba's parlor.

  "Salamu alaikum"I said my Salam making my way into the parlour and sat on the lush carpet near Abba's feet"wa alaikumussalam husnah" Abba and Ummi answered smiling down at me.

  "Uhm"Abba cleared his throat,"husnah what am about to tell you now is very important so please listen to me attentively as I speak","okay Abba"I replied thinking of the reason why Abba called for me,not like we don't use to have our family time or something,it's just that I have a strange feeling about this.

" Husnah a friend of mine has proposed marriage for his son",what Abba said made me raise my head immediatly to see if he is pulling my leg,but to my surprise he's face remained neutral with no trace of lark,I adjusted my sitting position and he continued,"do you have any objection to it?"he asked scrutinizing my face to see any sign of discomfort or worry,but I masked my worry with a small smile nodding my head no cos I don't want to disappoint my parents anymore regarding my past problem,so am wishing to give whomever it it a chance,but am praying not to be disappointed anymore.

"Masha Allah, may Allah bless you my daughter,it's really means a lot to me thank you so much"he continue praying for me,"Abba please stop thanking me because it's my responsibility as a daughter to fulfill my duty which is to make you happy"I said smiling widely at both Abba and Ummi to which they smiled back in response to what I said,"you can go back to your room now since we're done here"Abba said.

     Immediatly I entered the comfort of my room I broke down in tears,"what is wrong with me"I said to my self,brrrr my phone's ringing tone brought me out of my train of thought,I checked the ID number and of course it's Lee that is calling me.

I quickly wiped my tears before she suspect something is up,"hello dearest best friend what's up"Lee said energetically, God, this girl is full of energy,"hello Lee how are you, how's mama?"I said a little bit louder to clear her doubt.

"They are fine but what is wrong with your voice,it sounded like you cried, please tell me what the problem is umm?",she asked genuinely concerned. It's only Lee that can see through my facade no matter how hard I try to hide my problems, she's indeed a good friend.

  
     "Nothing's wrong with my voice, it's just that... it's just that am having a slight headache nothing more,I stammered a little praying that she didn't notice,but luck wasn't on my side cos the next thing I hear is "Spill it out husnah"she said sternly,"what else do you want me to spill Lee?",I asked wanting to divert the topic of discussion but Lee was hearing non of it.

"Look husnah it's better you stop beating around the bush and tell me what the problem is so that we can sort it together like we used to, I don't see the reason why you'll hide something from me,Me your best friend",she sighed trying to calm down before she said something she'll regret later,I thought for a while and in all honesty Lee should be the first to know about my arranged marriage with whoever it is am getting married to.

  
   "Fine,am getting married and it's an arranged marriage that's what bothering me all this while, Lee could you believe am getting married and I have no idea whom the husband is am freaking out I don't know what to do about it Lee."I said fanning myself with the back of my hand and the the weather is cold and my AC is on,all these won't help with the way am feeling right now.

"Husnah listen to me,calm down ok?, Where did you hear that from?" She asked and that's how I narrated all that happened to her without omitting any part.

"Alhamdulillah husnah wallahi am so happy for you, when will we get to see the husband umm?"she asked smiling from the other end and that made me puff the air out of my mouth,"Lee what do you mean by seeing the husband,am telling you I have no idea who he is and you're here asking me when we'll get to see him ughh,you can be so annoying at times","and that why you still love me besty"she retaliated."what ever good night and sweet dreams"I said about to cut the call when she stopped me

"Husnah whatever Ummi  and Abba did for you it's not like they don't love you or something,no they love you and gave you the space you needed,what more would you do to thank them for all the space and support they gave you?,the only thing you can do for them is to accept what they chose for you as your own token of appreciation and keep on praying for Allah to guide and choose what is best for you in this world and the hereafter"Lee advised and prayed,"insha Allah Lee I'll keep that in mind"and with that we said our goodnight and hung up.
