8. VA - Part 1

TREY’S POV

Mumma aint tell me we were having family over today, I know Nae is nervous but I know everyone is gonna love her so she aint got shit to worry about. I open the door all I hear is “CONGRATULATIONS TREY AND RENEE!!!” My mumma managed to plan a damn surprise graduation party for me and Renee without me finding out about it ahead of time, how the hell she do that?

MA: Renee!!! She screamed as she ran up to Nae giving her a big hug and kiss on the cheek.

R: Mama April!!!!

MA: I’m so happy my girl finally made it out to Virginia to visit us, make yourself at home.

R: Thank you so much I really appreciate you letting me stay with you.

T: So mumma Renee is the only person you see standing here

MA: Boy I just saw you before you left.

T: Aaww mumma that hurt

MA: Aaaww come here my wittle Trey, you will awways be mommys baby She said in a baby voice as she hugged me then pinched my cheeks. Everyone laughted.

I was so excited to introduce Renee to my Grumma, I know she has been dying to meet her, but before I could do that I see my little man Forrest running up to her, I swear he’s got a crush on her.

F: RENEE!!!

R: Hey man She says picking him up and giving him a big hug. You are getting so big, I’m not gonna be able to pick you up anymore soon.

F: Well when I get bigger I can pick you up.

Everyone started cracking up, and Forrest looked confused as to why everyone was laughing. I heard one of my Aunts say “Uh oh Trey he’s already tryna pick up your girl”. Renee was a pro with him though she picked up on his face and made him feel better. I swear she gonna have my baby one day, that is if she ever lets me cut.

R: Aaww that’s sweet Forrest, now where’s my suga? He gives her another hug then a kiss on the cheek.

F: Renee can you play Hungry Hippos with me?

R: Oh course I will did you know that was my favorite game?

F: Mine too

R: Well let me meet the rest of the family and we will play.

F: Ok He says as he runs off to set up the game.

T: You are really good with him. He normally doesn’t get attached to people as quickly as he has to you.

R: Well you know I seem to have that effect on the men in this house

T: Oh you got jokes

R: Always

T: Come with me to the kitchen I wanna introduce you to my Grumma

We walk into the kitchen and I see my grumma in front of the stove as usual, putting in work.

T: Grumma, How you doin pretty lady?

G: Hi Baby. Oh and who is this beautiful young lady

T: Grumma this is the love of my life Renee, Renee this is my heart, my Grumma Rose.

G: Oh Renee it’s so nice to finally meet you sweetheart, come give me a hug.

R: It’s nice to finally meet you too Mrs. Rose She says as she walks up and hugs my grumma.

G: So is this your first time visiting Virginia?
