Walking into Richardmond High was like walking into unknow paradise. A illusion with a bipolar attitude. The outside of Richardmond was simple red brick walls with about thirty six front windows. There within the center of the massive building held the staircase leading into the school. On the left of the entrance stood a tall beautiful green tree despite the cold windy weather.
Although, looks can be deceiving.
The entrance of the inside was entirely decorated with red , gold and white banners. " Welcome Back Warriors! " they read. Glittering Gold stars the size of beach balls cascaded from the celling tops. A dark colored red carpet, starting at the front doors, ran through the main hall ending at the wooden staircase. White silk curtains hung from the tall windows swinging with the breeze from the wind washing inside. Their was cheer everywhere as old friends spoke loudly to old friends.
Freshmens laughed with their last year classmates while rushing to class even though it was plenty of time. Teachers stood outside their class doors advising new students to the front office and talking to there familiar.
" Hi, my name's Taylor O'Connor and i'm new here."
The short Indian woman looked up at me. She was directing students everywhere they asked. For a moment she started in awe at me ,which I was use to, but I seriously had a problem waiting on people to respond back. Finally she opened her mouth to speak.
" Hello, you must be new. Well I'm Mrs. Salem ", she said as she offered her hand to me. I shook it which brought my attention to the pretty soft jingle of her bracelets. There were at least eleven and the wear all types of shaded pink to match her white flowing dress with bright pink trimmings. Her long dark brown har cascaded around her shoulders revealing almost black eyes. Jewels fell around the top of her head down to her forehead landing in the center. A little soft pink diamond hung from the line of jewelry. She was simply beautiful. And I knew she was staring at my close culture features too.
" Um you where the office is?" I asked although knowing she does in fact know.
" Tu muy bonita Taylor." She spoke in spanish to me which caused me to be taken back a little.
