Chapter 9- ᑕᖇOᔕᔕIᗰG ᑭᗩTᕼᔕ ᗩGᗩIᑎ

-6pm, Wednesday, August 9th-
As the sun sets over the Hollywood sign, Isabella's car pulls up in front of Jimmy's house where in the front lawn there's a fountain with a statue. When the car stops, Isabella and Jaydee step out from the front seats.
"Alright, did you do it in the slow motion type of way like you wanted to?" Isabella asks, looking at Jaydee who's removing his sunglasses slowly.
"Yeah~ Did it look like the movies?" Jaydee asks looking at the house.
"It did, now are your ready to go in. We've done this 3 times already, I think it's about time we go and ask questions. Are you ready?"
"Yeah~ just if Florencia comes in, you're talking if she asks any general questions."
"Should I ask why?"
"I don't wanna talk about it... We've had some history in the acting business."
"Got it. Let's just head in already. I've been itching to get this done all day."
"Alright, I wanna see how the professional does her job. You know, while meeting in person of course."
"I like the way you think, let's go!"
They both head towards the front door, as Jaydee gives the statue a weird look. Isabella knocks as she notices Jaydee looking at the statue weirdly.
"What are you doing?" she asks.
"Why- why are all rich peoples statue's naked people? Couldn't they just choose something nicer, like a swan or chicken even?" he explains, not taking his eyes off the statue.
"I think the same thing some times too, people just do weird things with money some times."
Before Jaydee can say anything else, the door opens as Jimmy is standing there with Florencia in his arm.
"Jaydee! It's great to finally see you! We haven't seen you since the wedding! And who's the girl?" Florenica says.
"I'm his girlfriend!" Isabella quickly says, before Jaydee can cut in.
"Really?! My my, I didn't think Jay would ever find someone."
"I happen to have been lucky enough to find him. May we come in?"
"Absolutely! Please, it'll be our honor to get to know who finally cracked the code to his heart!"
Jimmy smiles awkwardly as Florencia leads him back inside. Jaydee looks at Isabella as if to say 'what the actual heck was that?!'. She just gives him a smirk as she grabs his hand and leads him inside, closing the door behind them.
They walk out back to the poolside bar, and they all sit on bar stools, facing eachother.
"So darling, why don't you introduce yourself? Or would your boyfriend like to do it?" Florencia asks, her leg wrapping around Jimmy's.
"Ah yes, I'm just a old friend from highschool who just got lucky to get close to Jaydee as of recently. What about you two? How's the marriage life treating you guys?" Isabella explains, leaning back and putting her arm around Jaydee.
Both men sit in silence, giving eachother the look of pure confusion.
"Oh you know, one day we met while I got a acting gig on a set which Jimmy here happened to also be acting in. We instantly clicked, amd have been together since then. I also have Jaydee to thank for that still! If he had gotten the job, I would've never met Jimmy."
"even though it was my dream acting gig to be a main lead for once..."
"Oh Jaydee deary, it'll be fine. Once that detective you hired finds out who did it, I'll make sure you get your dream role some day."
"Oh that's right! You've been accused of sleeping with Evony Lefebvre! How are you dealing with it?"
"Oh, you know, just making sure no one finds out I'm outside my house so they leave me alone. The usual really..." Jaydee says, not making eye contact at all with Florencia.
"It must truly be hard dear, but please. Tell me who this detective is."
"Isabella Delaney, you've most likely heard of her work before, right?" Isabella says.
"So I have... Anyways, I hope she does a great job! After all, it'd truly be a shame if she failed and this Scandal ruined Jaydee's whole reputation..."
"Florencia darling, do you think you could get us some snacks from the kitchen? Maybe some popcorn to help lighten the mood?" Jimmy finally asks, giving Florencia a loving look, "I'll make the drinks."
"Of course dear! Anything for you honey." she exclaims, kissimg Jimmy's forehead before he stands behind the bar, watching her skip inside.
When she's finally gone, he sighs and falls down to the counter. Isabella looks at him concerned.
"Is marriage that rough?" she asks.
"Is it ever... Thank you for not really telling her who you are either Isabella, you've done us all a favor." Jimmy mutters, standing and preparing a few drinks.
"So I'm guessing you know why we're here then?"
"Yup, and before you ask. Me and Evony were a good couple indeed, but I've moved on since then. And now I'm thinking about moving on again... May I explain my sorrows?"
"You're making drinks, she'll be back soon so I'll let you go on."
"Right, so Florencia went out the same night as Evony and Jaydee did. She didn't return until around 3am. She told me she was having a great time at the bar when she seen the two there. Though I'm pretty sure you can get where I'm going with this..."
"You're saying... You think your own wife actually had sex with Evony?!" Jaydee exclaims, almost looking shocked.
"Yes, she has good reasoning as well. She's been going out every night that James doesn't seem to be home. She always says she's just drinking with Evony, but I don't believe it at all."Jimmy explains, a sorrowful emotion just takes over him.
"Jimmy, how long has this been going on?" Isabella asks, looking Jimmy in the eyes.
"Months, at least since May. I thought we had something you know? And I just can't go out and say she's been cheating on me, I need James to agree with me on this. I don't wanna see your career get ruined before it's fully started, you're a great guy." he says, looking at Jaydee for the last part.
"This is huge, you realise if we get evidence and get James on our side, we could settle this all in one court hearing!"
"That's the problem though, I know that my wife has the people on her side no matter what. After all, doing this I'd also have the chance of making things worse."
"It's a good thing then that you now got me to work with, as long as Jaydee is okay with it. He's the one who hired me after all." Isabella says, giving Jaydee a smirk.
      "If it helps, then go ahead. I'm just happy I got to come along with you dear." Jaydee responds.
    "So~ are you guys actually a thing?" Jimmy asks, adding ice to the drinks.
           "No, but we've been thinking about it. We actually were dating in highschool, and we've already thought about getting back together after 10 years. Isn't that right dear?" Isabella explains.
      "Sure thing Izzy. Plus the more we can help, the better it is for all of us."
    "Yup, though we need as much help as we can with this case!" Isabella jokes around.
      They all laugh as Florencia comes back outside, as they continue on for a few more hours as if nothing happened.
