Chapter 1

----------------3rd person P. O. V-------------:

  Sunlight scattered in the room through the open window. The girl was sitting on a chair near the window, her head bent over a notebook.

Her light brown hair was tied in a neat plait which fell on her shoulder as she scribbled on the note book. A pale scar ran on the pale skin if her hand.

The room in simple words was beautiful. The dark green wallpapers with silver lining and the polished wooden floor reflected the sunlight. A four poster bed laid gloriously near the wall, it's hangings a lighter shade of green. A study table and chair adorned the spot near the window and it shone as light fell on the polished Oak. Rather huge wardrobe occupied one side of the wall it's wood shining in the sun too. A small door led to the cosy but beautiful washroom

The girl jerked her head up on hearing a knock on her door,her blue eyes reflecting the sky. She stood up, straightened her blouse and took long steps towards the door . The door opened to reveal her mother , Athena Malfoy, with her white blonde hair pulled in a tight bun and dark makeup making her look even more intimidating.

The girls kept aside to let her Enter the room as her mother began.

"Adeline I hope you are practicing dancing as I told you"

Adalene inwardly sighed. She had been dancing since she was five but her mother wanted her to improve everyday which she wasn't able to do. Either this was to make make her perfect or to torture her, she didn't knew.

"Yes mother ,I practiced for straight 2 hours."

"Well I think we can make it 3 hours, right hun? "

Ethena Malfoy smiled her cringiest smile and sat on the chair .

"Yes mother". Adeline knew that any sort of protesting will only increase her problems.

" I hope that would make you a bit more bearable, for I don't know how you even look in the mirror,with looks like yours. "

Athena scoffed and took out her wand, smacking it hard on her daughter's head.

Her hair changed its color to a pale blonde. But either of them knew this was useless. Adeline's hair would be brown again in almost an hours time.

" We are hosting a ball tonight, and as much as I don't want you to come, darling Lucius wants you to be there. "

She smiled at the name of her beloved son, who was perfect, according to her.

" So I expect you to get ready in a hour. And wear this", she waved her wand and a black dress appeared on her bed. " Understand. "

"Yes mother", Adeline said with her head bowed as she stood rooted in front of her mother.

" I will come in half an hour to do your hair, be done with shower and dressing by then. Understood. "

"Yes mother. " Athena Malfoy left the room and Adeline slouched on the bed. A stupid ball again. There will be family friends or rather pure blood idiots ridiculing her or flirting with her.

She sighed and dragged herself towards the bathroom.

This was gonna be another long day.
