Android feelings ( an OCxConnor)

Alexis' POV:
(betcha didn't expect this-)
I was making some lunch, a delicious grilled cheese, before I heard the front door open. It was Jaxx? She saw me in the kitchen and sat at the island behind me.

" What're you doing home so early?" I turned to her, letting my sandwich sit in the pan. " Just a .. bad day today I guess..." she gave me a sad smile then looked down at her lap. "Welllll... what happened? Are you and Hank okay?" I felt worry rush through me. She shot her head up," yeah, yeah we're fine! It's just ... Connor."

Connor...

Connor, oh yes I remember ! Jaxx's new android partner. I hope he didn't do anything too bad...

"What about him?" I went back to my lunch to flip it. "Well... us three had gone to do another case, up in a ... bird's nest ,if you will. Long story short, Connor had to chase after the deviant and me and Hank met them halfway. I was pushed by the deviant and was hanging onto the edge of the roof." She paused, seeming hesitant. " ... C-Connor didn't help me... he continued chasing the deviant.."

I froze and turned to her. "He did what now?" I felt anger more than anything. I couldn't even fathom the fact that Jaxx almost died because of Connor.

She saw my expression and walked over to me, regret on her face. " At least Hank saved me!" I'll admit that reassured me a lil, but it still wasn't right that Connor just kept going.

She dropped her eyes to the floor then back at me, " do you think he really wanted to leave me?.. I-I know it sounds a little stupid but..." She nervously laughed as she waited for my response.

"I honestly don't know... I mean I wasn't there but ... I think it was his choice. Maybe not totally , but yah." I shrugged before plating my slightly burnt sandwich. She nodded before leaving my side, going into the living room.

Jaxx's POV:

After talking to Alex a bit, I decided to play my daily Animal Crossing (New Horizons). I turned on the TV and Switch and grabbed my controller for it then flopped onto the couch.

I opened the game and started my daily chores : finding fossils, shopping, and talking to my villagers. I ended up finishing the tasks pretty quickly and decided to go up to my room. I turned off the TV and walked up the stairs and entered my room to find Nova on my bed, sleeping.

I smiled and went over to pet her. She woke up and immediately started smiling at me," Hi Novaaaa." She hopped off my
bed and followed me as I walked out onto my balcony.

I sat down and put my legs through the spaces in the railing and Nova sat beside me. I feel like I'm a bit better about what happened now. I just thought that maybe he... just would've thought a little more before jumping to his final choice.

I felt a frown grow on my face and Nova whined. " I'm okay Nova... don't worry," I patted her head and she stuck her tongue out.

I looked back into the pretty world, noticing all the flowers on the ground, and all the people walking on the streets. I sighed and let my hair down then put my forehead against the railing.

I heard some chattering coming from downstairs, which led to foot steps coming down the hallway. I figured it was Alex with a package or something , so I didn't bother turning around. The steps stopped behind me then a familiar voice spoke.

"...Jaxx, may I talk with you?" he sat down on the opposite side of me from Nova. I looked at him and hesitantly nodded. He looked down at the ground, I guess carefully picking what he wants to say. " I want you to know that now I see that my choice on the roof wasn't the best," he looked over at me. " I want to admit that my .. instructions took over during that moment , and that if I could go back I'd certainly change my choices. I do hope you forgive me."
