The Captain was fuming. He stood quickly up from the small chair. The chair smacked against the steal walls. In long strides he stood in front of Sam. A vain in the mans neck began to show the longer he looked down at Sam. He raised his left hand and swiftly striked it on Sam's face. Sam's hair flew over his eyes and though he had a huge red mark along his cheek he sat there and just smiled, and it scared me so much.
The old man was as shocked as me that Sam was smiling. "You hit like a girl." Sam said with a cold tone.
"You.." The Captain was so mad, he was speechless. He went to raise his hand again. Then as if everything happened in slow motion, the tables turned. Sam broke the wood restraining one of his hands. He took the piece and stabbed it into the Captains side. He fell, wincing in pain. Sam broke his other hand free and stood over the man on the ground. Sam ripped the ropes with the sharp parts of the wood.
The moment he was free he rushed over to me and cut the ropes around my hands. I jumped up instantly, still holding onto the rope. My breath was sporadic and uneasy. I took a quick sec to intake everything. Sam crouched over the man who was now in the corner of the small room. Sam took the tasor and a ring of keys from the Captains pocket.
"Lets go." Sam said opening the steel door. As I was about to walk out, Sam stopped and looked at the man. "Wood, not such a good idea for a 'rich' place. And the rope, really?" He smiled.
We left the room and we were instantly confronted by a guard and his gun. Sam stopped and eyed the gun. I noticed the guard was shaking. He was so unsteady.
"D-don't m-move!" The guard said stuttering. I noticed Sam had a small grin placed on his face. Slowly Sam aimed the tasor at the guard. "I s-said d-don't m-move!"
Sam stopped and put his one free hand up. I knew what he was doing. He got the guard's eyes off the tasor. Instantly Sam shot it at him. The man fell to the ground. Sam grabbed the gun from the guys hands. I took the rope and tied it around the guy so if he woke up, he couldn't do anything. I walked over his legs and then stayed close behind Sam.
We walked down a long narrow hall. The place was silent. As if nothing was alive in the building, but they were. They were being quite to get us. To hide and then gain up on us. Every now and then parts of the long lights would flicker. It added this feeling that I really didn't like. It felt more than just fear. It was everything. The fear, anger, pain, and the anxious feeling eating away my insides.
"Sam," I whispered into his back.
"Yeah,"
"What do we do?" My voice cracked at the end of my question. Tears threatened to fall down. He turned around to face me with this sad look across his face. A single tear rolled down my face. He placed his hand on my cheek and I put my hand on top of his. I looked up into his stormy grey eyes.
"We are going to get out of here. You will run until your legs give out. When that happens I will pick you up and carry you the rest of the way." He wiped the tear from my face. "Take my hand, I will not lose you. We will not go down today." I felt my heart pound as if was going to pop out. He leaned forward and placed a small kiss on my forehead. "Not today." He repeated.
He slowly turned back around and walked down another long hall. A wooden door came up on the left and Sam peered inside.
Two guards were waiting for us. Sam shot one in the knee and the other in the chest. I sat there petrified. It was like I replayed a memory in my head, in the school. I had killed someone. So has Sam, but seeing it again hurt. The man who was shot in the chest fell limp. A small pool of blood spread out around him. And it just kept growing. I felt my insides curl. It was sick to look at.
Sam grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the shock. He tugged me along the hall. He was looking for more rooms. The guards were probably all in rooms to do an ambush. To surround us. If we took out the back end first, that gave us a way out.
We kept walking and checked every door we passed some had people and some were just empty rooms that resembled the one we had woken up in earlier. The next room we went to I also got a gun but I really didn't want to use it.
All were duel and some had blood stains in. The more I took in my surrounding, it became harder to concentrate. I can only imagine what they do to people. The government doesn't care about the captives it has. Only as long as they get the information they need from them. Even if that meant never ending torture.
I thought about Sam's dad. He never said a word. They must of starved him, beaten him, and just crushed him. I wounder if they tried to use Sam against him. I noticed that Sam really cares for his father and I'm guessing the same goes for his dad.
Then there was one last wood door in the wall besides the steel doors that we had tried to run out from earlier. Sam took a deep breath, as did I. We crept into the last room. I was shocked to see the worse room ever.
There were strange things every where and it made me so sick. On the walls there was guns and whips. A few tables were placed in the front of the room. Then some devices were placed along the walls. They looked like they held people and the straps were covered in dried blood. Some of it looked new. It all made me feel nauseous.
Then there stood four men with guns. They all looked at us. All but one looked surprised. The men took a spring for their guns. Sam took the first shot and hit one guy. I went to shot another guy. My hands shook violently. I felt like I was going to stop breathing. Even though, the one at the end of the gun would. With hesitation I finally fired and hit a guy in the lower part of his stomach a few times.
One guard took a shot and hit the wall right next to me. I quickly got down and pushed up a table. It didn't do to much because another bullet came by going strait through the wooden table and almost hit my arm. I let out a yelp.
I heard More guns go off and then Sam let out a yell. I stood on my feet instantly and shoot at the one guy left standing. I looked over at Sam who was laying on the floor. His arm was grazed. He ripped the bottom of his shirt and tied the cloth around the wound. I couldn't help but to stare in awe. He was so, manly. Thats all my mind can even say about him right now. It's like I'm star struck.
He looked up and caught me practically drooling. He smiled like a little boy on his birthday. "You going to help me up, or just stare some more."
"Oh shut up." I said walking over and helping him up. We both walked out of the room and walked towards the exit. Then the alarms went off.
