°•°[JIHYO'S OFFICE]°•°"I have no reason to justify myself to you." Jihyo spitted out, clenching her hands around the chair's handles.
Hoseok ran his hand through his hair, trying to stay calm, but failing, groaning in frustration.
"Jihyo, I can help you. I can try to get you out of this shit, but only if you'll stop being so stubborn and give me one damn logical reason!"
Jihyo snapped her head towards the man she once loved, shouting:
"There's nothing you can do, believe me. The act was entirely my choice, 100% intentional."Hoseok shook his head in disbelief. Why was he even trying to save this witch's ass? All the bottled up anger blew out in a exaggerated shout:
"What... drove you to do such thing? Why did you have to kill him?! Tell me what made you kill your brother, Jihyo, otherwise you'll end up in prison without a thought."
The woman didn't want to divulge her secret, not yet. Who was this man to order her around?
Huffing, Jihyo rolled her eyes. Right, the police. Fine, he wants me to tell him? I'll tell him.
As calmly as she could, she started:
"I've never loved my brother. Maybe at one point, when we were younger, before the legacy and the company was brought up. After that, everything went down."Hoseok closed his eyes, like he didn't want to hear her anymore. That was the reason? Envy?
Not getting an answer, Jihyo continued:
"He was always the center of attention. The handsome, kind, rich CEO, the man everyone wanted to meet, and I... his younger invisible sister. Me? To live in his shadow? Never. I couldn't take anymore ignorance from them. He told me that there was nothing he could do. He was lying. He just didn't want me to become better than him." She growled, her jaw clenched."One day, after we had another fight about my rights as his sister, he told me that if I'm not happy with my place in the family, I could very well leave.
And I thought... that maybe he could be the one to leave. 15th of April, that was the day of our fight. The following morning, I hired a man to do the dirty job. He didn't have a choice, so he agreed. I even payed him to kill my brother."
Something inside Hoseok wanted him to think that it haunted her to this day, regretting her choice. That maybe... she just wasn't understood. But...
"I hated Mason Park for so many years, when I should've hated on you. It's true that he killed him, but you ordered him. I bet you forced him into it." He just couldn't restrain.
"Not really. He had two options." Jihyo said, smiling, holding up to fingers.
"My brother, or his family." She continued, letting her fingers down, resting her jaw on her hand, still smiling.
Hoseok would do anything to rip that annoying smirk off her face.
"You did not... I can't believe you." He huffed.
"Do you ever regret it? Killing him?""I'd gladly do it again, with my own hands." Jihyo said nonchalantly.
Hoseok wanted to cry. Literally. How could he love this creature?
"...That was all of it for? Because you wanted more popularity? More money?"
"Don't you think is a good enough reason?" She chuckled.
"My brother didn't appreciate what he had, so I took it from him.""What about his life? Did you have to take that too?!"
Jihyo pressed her lips.
"You see, Hoseok, I know you're a good man." She said while leaning back in her chiar, smirking. After a short pause, she added:"...But you need to understand that sometimes..., you need to get rid of what's holding you back."
Hoseok stared stupefied at her. He wanted to say something, but he didn't know what, so he kept closing and opening his mouth like a dying fish.
"I know you now changed your mind about me, but it was expected. You don't want to help me anymore, do you?" She asked with a knowing smile.
"No, not anymore. You don't deserve it. However..." He spoke, rasing his hand to his chest, folding back the suit's lapel, showing off a little device. "I also came for this."
Jihyo looked at him with with wide eyes. "Is that... a mic?"
"That's what it looks like, hmm?" Hoseok grinned, for the first time feeling like the day wouldn't be a complete disaster.
"Let's just say... I kinda hold your whole future, life even, in this small device."
"Hoseok... Do you really want to do this?" Jihyo said with a flirty voice, not feeling threatened.
"Do you really want to never see my pretty face again?" Jihyo said, fluttering her eyelashes.Hoseok was disgusted. Tempted, but disgusted. How could she bring their past together in such horrific matters?
"I very much do. I never knew this side of you, Jihyo. Even after what Namjoon told me, I just... didn't want to believe him. But now you told me yourself.
See you in prison, Jihyo. You've just shitted on your last chance to freedom."
He got up, slamming the door behind him.
Who's... Namjoon? Jihyo thought.
