Max's POV

Chapter 4

Her Love

We were in the beach when Pace called me out of nowhere. What is it now that he wants? I looked at Kevin and just smiled at him.

"Excuse me Kevin." I smiled at him and went to a more seluded area.

I answered his call and tried not to sigh or anything.

"Hello Pace." I replied to him and acted all serious.

"Ahh my dear Maxie. How are you now?" He said in am eerie voice.

"Nothing much but why did you call?" I said to him trying not to sarcastic and all.

"Come on love I know nagtatampo ka sa akin." He said to me in his cutesy voice.

"Tss come on Pace we have been apart for more than a year now can't you just show up now?" I said trying not sound desperate or anything.

Okay I like Pace but going in a relationship is making him distance more. Maybe because he is addicted to sex and all but I wouldn't do it but who can blame me? Maybe he is just after my v card an all. He is handsome and I am attracted to him.

We dated for 2 years and our relationship was seeming to be starting to be toxic and I do not like it any much more. I wanted to end it but I like him too much to end this. He needs someone right now and I can't leave him when he is all broken.

"I'm sorry love but just hold okay? I love you and I just called if you were alright and everything. I have to end the call my hearing pa ako bukas" He said to me with so much concern.

"Love you too love." I said and ended the call. I sighed and went back to Kevin who was lost in his thoughts staring at the ocean.

"Hey sorry for the inconvience. Tumawag kasi ang boyfriend ko." I said to him and he ever did was just smiled at me.

I sat down at the sand with him and stared at the ocean. Its my first time to talk to one of the boys from my parents circle of friends. I don't usually interact to anyone except for the girls.

I went across to study in America specifically because I want to pursue my goals of being a psychatrist but Mama doesn't want to leave me alone in the states because of my boyfriend's case. She thinks it is unsafe to be around with him but still I have my connections with him still because I know Pace would never do such a thing.

He is whore for sex and all but he won't stop down that low to actuall sustain his needs. He stopped his sexual habits when we got togther and he respects me as woman. That's what I like about Pace.

"So you going to school here now?" Kevin started to talk to ease the awkwardness in the area.

"Yeah." I agreed and not minding his presense at all. I should just stay away from men. Other may think that I cheated on Pace but no one really knows that much of our relationship.

"So why did Pace call you? Sorry for being nosy at all but I know him." He said to me with a sheepish smile.

"He's important to me." I said and looked at the ocean. He is very important to me and one of the sole reasons why I wanted to pursue my dreams. He is the man who made me get out of my shell for the past year and he was there for me through hard and difficult times in my whole life.
