I was slowly packing my belongings. My face was stained with tears. I'd been crying because of what Mark had just told me. He told me he was using me to get to Charlene. I can't believe he would do that! Why would he use me!?!? Why would he toy with my feelings!?!? (A/N: I really do HATE cheaters and liars!) It hurt me to know, that my first love didnt really love me. He was going to be my rock, the one to hold me together when things got bad. Who knew he would be the one to destroy all that.

I looked up to see how much more of my crap I have to pack away before I ship them off to California. At least there I can get a fresh start. Meet new people. People that won't break my heart after a week.... Look at me. I'm here feeling sorry for myself. I shouldn't be so self-centered as to keep crying over my problems. Savv, get over yourself! Life isn't fair! It never was and it never will be! Pull yourself together! I sighed and walked over to my bathroom and washed my face off. I was going to leave the miserable state of Rhode Island with dignity. If there is any left. "Hey Savv." Charlene's voice made me jump. She looked really sad. I ran up to her and hugged her.

"Oh Char! I'm going to miss you so much! I wish I could take you with me!" I cried. I let the tears fall. I wasn't afraid to cry in front of her.

She patted my back soothingly. "I heard about what Mark did..." she said softly. The sound of his name made me cry out.

"I know! I know! I can't believe he did that to me!"

She sighed. "Yeah. He actually came up to me and asked me out no denied him of course" she lead me to my bare bed. "He told me that, Jeremy, he uhhh- he, well, he td Mark ti go out with you." she trailed off avoiding my gaze. I couldn't speak. Why would Jeremy do that to me? WHY!?

"J-Jeremy, ma-made him?" I choked out. "Why would he do that?"

She shrugged. "He said something like, you getting what you want." she looked at me sympathetically. I'm apalled at my brother. I could easily forgive him though. He never intended to hurt me like Mark did.

"Whatever. Forget about it. What's done is done. Can't change the past" I sighed heavily. "I'm goon to miss you Charlene. Don't forget me!" I cried hugging her tightly. "I hope we'll be able to see each other again" I sniffled.

Charlene started to cry softly. I didn't need her answer. It was plain and clear that she would Mae me as much as I would miss her.

~After the plane ride~

"Oh! Look! Savv! California is so beautiful!" I nodded and grabbed our bags off the belt.

"Yeah, which part of California will we be living in?"

"Los Angeles, Sweetie!" she squealed. I nearly choked on my own spit! We are going to live in LA!!!!!! Yeah! Living the dream baby!

"No way! No way! No way! No way!" I said my voice getting louder at each 'no way'. I was literally jumping up and down! Moving here will be awesome!

"Yes! I know right!? I found the perfect house for us there! It's in a really nice neighborhood, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths. And it has a big and beautiful backyard! Oh you are going to love it!" I smiled. I haven't been around my mom in such a long time that I had forgotten how carefree and cool she was. I've missed being with her. I sighed happily and grabbed my bags. We walked out of the LAX and grabbed a taxi. We got in and my mom gave the driver the address. "You are going to love it here! I just know it!" she cried. My smile grew wider.

"Yeah, I will definitely enjoy a fresh start here" she grinned at me. We didn't talk the whole way there. I was okay with it bthe silence was comforting and happy.

We arrived at our home about an hour and a half later. When we turned onthe street my eyes grew wide. The houses here were beautiful! This must be one of the richer parts of the city! I'm living in LA! we stopped at this big beautiful white house. It must be two stories. It looked new and furnished. The grass was very green. There was a cute little tree to the right of the house. On the left was an amazing flowerbed. The flowers were so bright and colorful! It gave me hope. It gave me a sense of security, somehow. I grabbed our bags and walked up the stone-filled path.

The porch was large and had two giant columns in the front. The door was a magnificent dark brown. It stood at bout 8-9 feet tall. The center of the door had a breathtaking stained glass piece of a dove. I put our bags down and traced over the glass with my fingers, admiringly. My mother came up beside me and pulled out the keys. "Okay? Are you ready!? All of our furniture is in there already. The movers were here yesterday. Oh! and-"

I cut her off "I don't mean to be rude but, open the door already!" she laughed and opened it. The inside was even more beautiful than the outside. We walked intothe foyer. It was large and the house was vey open. I could the kitchen and living room from here. I set the bags down and went to explore the house.

It looks like my mom bought some new furniture for us. There was a big white couch in the center of the living room. It faced a large flat screen tv. I gasped. She bought a new tv!?!?? I went over to check it out. I traced m fingers over the edge of the tv, ever so lightly. I looked up and took in the new atmosphere. It was new and refreshing.

I walked out of the living room and headed straight for stairs. The upstairs was carpeted in a plush white carpet. There was a door to my right. I opened it to reveal a large bedroom with a queen size bed in the middle. To the left was a big mirror, framed in white, and another door. I opened it to see a white bathroom. It had a shower and a bathtub! This must be be the master bedroom! I walked back into the bedroom and saw my mother on the doorway. "Do you like it?"

I nodded vigorously "Yes! Oh! I can't wait to take a look at my room!" I exclaimed. She looked at me questioningly.

She shook her head and my smile dropped. "No, this is your bedroom" she states in a 'duh' tone. I hawked at her. This bedroom was mine!?!?

"But then where is yours?"

"I have the whole third floor to myself" she stated proudly, like a five year old. I laughed at her.

"We have a third floor!?!?"

"No! I have a third floor" she said, emphasizing the 'I'. I laughed at her. "We better start unpacking. You have school in two days."

I sighed. "Kay" I really don't want to go to school on Monday!
