Adolpha Blackwood was positively bouncing on her feet as she waited for the arrival of her brother and it was humorous to behold- her childlike excitement. Caius couldn't help but be fascinated by her, now soon to be divorced- he was going to do everything the right way, he was determined to give Adolpha the love from the fairytales and as he stared at her for a long moment, he wanted to see that level of happiness on her face every single day. Though, the longer the blond man looked at her- the more he realised that he didn't know her. He didn't know how she had become a werewolf, she must have killed someone. There were many things unanswered but he knew he had an eternity to ask the questions.

"Dolpha!" Conri beamed the second the large oak doors were flung open and she went flying down the podium, racing into his arms and in all his excitement; he spun to absorb the impact. She looked so small in his arms at that moment as he joyfully hugged her, her legs swinging around as he twisted on the spot and Caius couldn't seem to remove the ghost of a smile from his lips as he watched them.

"Adolpha!" a second wolf smiled brightly, tanned skin darker than the siblings' and he was shorter but still tall enough to grab Adolpha in an excited hug.

"Kurt" she laughed along and she responded with intensity before turning to the final male wolf. Her grin turned into a sigh the second she saw his cheeky smile and Chann winked.

"Heya, Beta Baby. Miss me?" he laughed and she rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue as she pulled him into a much more conservative hug, swaying on the spot slightly. Caius couldn't help the tsunami of jealousy that crashed into him like a wall as he watched her so calmly hugging the gentleman in the group. Men who she was much closer to than the king himself.

"Just in time for your hundredth" Lou cheered and Adolpha shook her head with a laugh as she hugged the werewolf imprint. That was it for the group who had visited Italy though they were enough, she felt instantly warmer at the sight of them all standing there with bright grins on their faces.

"Yeah, and we're going to get absolutely shit-faced." Chann cheered and she laughed.

"Yes, but first... Business" their Alpha reminded, poking Chann in the chest- the delta scout merely raising his hands in defence though his eyes remained light and humourous.

"It's almost your birthday?" Marcus questioned softly and she was slightly startled, having only just remembered that they were still there. Turning and smiling, she nodded.

"Yes, in two days" the brunette shrugged and both Aro and Marcus whipped their heads around to look over at  Caius who ignored their stares, a look of contemplation having obscured his features as he pondered his next move.

"Is there someplace we can talk, Dol?" her older brother questioned, eyes flickering between the Beta and the three kings who were startled by the sudden secrecy.

"Top- Secret undercover wolf Business," Chann smirked, nodding along with himself.

"Sure... Um... Follow me?"

"Let's go." Kurt nodded and Adolpha's eyes lingered on Caius for a long moment- the blond king not returning the gesture and the female sighed as she ushered her family effortlessly away from the room.

"So... What are you thinking?" Aro hummed, leaning his chin into his hand and Caius scoffed, shaking his head.

"I have absolutely no idea." he clicked his tongue.

"Well, take her out for the evening?" Marcus suggested and Caius rubbed his forehead, frowning as he considered it.

"Where?"

"Really brother? Do you know the girl at all? You have spent the past month and a half with her, no?" Aro prompted, raising an eyebrow and Caius proceeded to glare at him, his red eyes turning into slits. "... Have you told her? About your recent divorce?"

"Not yet. I don't want to pressure her. I am just going to take it all slowly, we have forever either way. It makes no sense to rush our relationship and pay for it later. When I get a free moment, I will tell her." he nodded, assuring himself and Marcus and Aro exchanged a deeply meaningful glance. "What?" he snapped.

"Are you scared brother?" Aro smirked and Caius just scoffed at the mere thought of it as he turned his stony expression around to face the front of the room again. The truth was that Caius hadn't thought that far ahead yet. He had slowed things down with Adolpha in preparation to give him time to end things with Athenodora, the right way and now that he had- he was uncertain where to begin. It felt strangely alarming to him, as though Adolpha was a mere stranger who he was now trying to impress. He couldn't say that he was familiar with the situation. He had never had to woo anyone before, he had been married and those other women he spent the night with were attracted to his natural vampire charm like bees to the honey. He never had to genuinely get to know someone.

It was much harder than it seemed.
