Adolpha swallowed hard as she made her way back to camp, now reclothed once more though still bloodied from the onslaught of the previous night. They had awoken to find their rival pack slaughtered, something they knew was their own doing but in true Wolf nature- Had no recollection of actually doing. It was back in the clearing on the hill that she found her pack- the Blue and Luna combined and she was proud to see that almost all of them had survived.

"Jeez, Boss. You're looking rough." Chann teased as she approached and Adolpha couldn't help but scoff at his words, eyes rolling in vague annoyance. "Looks like the pack was busy last night, eh? Saves us rational minded beings a job, doesn't it?" He winked.

"You would think so, wouldn't you?" Kurt clicked his tongue. "But no. You're head of clean up duty, Chann. We need fifty graves dug. Presumably today." The beta beamed, enjoying his new power now that it was no longer weighted down by the promises they'd made at Conris funeral. The packs were now safe once more which meant only one thing— they had won. "Feels good to be a winner, eh?"

"It does. I wish I could remember more of it though... We just woke up to death and destruction," she laughed softly, shaking her head from side to side as she watched her people dog graves. Some of them were injuries but few of the wounds were fatal.

"That's the best way, Dol. It saves us a job. And now it is high time you and your sparkly boyfriend get the cogs turning on that relationship of yours. You don't have wolf wars as your excuse anymore, Alpha." Kurt nudged here and she scoffed, stumbling from the force. They were extremely weakened from the fight but they still had the ability to smile in their victory.

"Actually. First, we need to find and take out the Romanian vampires. Lord knows what they were up to with the Crescents,"

"That sounds like a job for the leeches" Chann clipped, "we have done our bit, shredding the wolves to smithereens."

"No one asked your opinion" Kurt kicked in return, making the Delta scout show him the finger. "Listen, Dol. We have this all covered now. I don't know how we got so lucky but we did and that is the best part. We have survived. The temporary war is over before it even had the chance to truly begin. Everything is okay again. It's prime time you and Caius sort yourselves out before you lose the chance again,"

"It's too soon" she denied and he mellowed at the mention of their former Alpha.

"Adolpha...Conri would want you to get on with your life. You know that. He was so happy that you finally found your imprint. We all were. And you finally have the opportunity to be happy with Caius, you can't say no to that." Kurt pep talked and she huffed.

"I'm worried. I don't understand him. One minute he's cold, the next caring and serious and then he's joking. I don't know how to act with him or... every time we take one step forward we're taking two steps back. And I'm going through enough as it is, I don't need stress from him too. It's so easy right now, being whatever it is that we are. Why screw that up?" She finally confided and Kurt smiled gently.

"Because, Adolpha. It's just a stepping stone, not the final prize. You and him aren't going to be happy until you're fully together. That man cast aside his hatred for wolves, brought you to his home, divorced his wife and has given you everything you have asked for since you got there. Nothing else matters now. It doesn't matter who he used to be, or what happened between you and him in the past. All that matters is that he has done all of this, for you. And that's the kind of man you marry." Kurt expressed, his voice drizzling with emotion and she couldn't help but lap up every word. Kurt was such a gentle soul, he had the insane ability to always assure you, no matter what you chose to do. He would always be on your side and it was incredibly refreshing, even as they stood side by side to watch their fellow pack mates bury the enemies.

"They're going to be so annoyed that they missed the fight, Aro has had the guard training up ready for it." She informed with a slight smile, very clearly changing the subject but he knew that the thoughts were planted in her head now and she would think about and act upon them accordingly.

"We handled it fine on our own. But you know us Blues. We're superior" Kurt winked, nudging her shoulder again and she laughed. It was her first genuine laugh since her brother passed away and despite how short of a time it had been, it felt so freeing to laugh and as she did so, she saw his smile in her mind. Conri had always been happy to see Adolpha happy and that wouldn't change, not even in death.

"Don't go flinging that term around too soon, Kurt. Defeating one army doesn't make you the king of the world" she prompted and he shrugged, rolling his eyes.

"Shh, let us celebrate our victory for at least one day."
