It was according to the rules that every boarding resident check in the day before the official reopening of school. My parents had to pull some strings so I could stay with them last night. We had my things already dropped to my dorm room the day before.

The next morning I was a mess. As we arrived on school grounds my body started to tremble slightly and all I could hear was the hard thundering of my heart, inside my chest. I was nervous?

I never really knew anymore it was as if my condition which I liked to call the E-monster was a being inside of me. A separate entity with its own emotions and reactions.

Having been a public speaker who won countless competitions since the first grade, this was strange for me. I'm usually more calm and able to suppress my nerves. It felt like I was changing each and very day. Most of these changes not so admirable.

I snapped out my thoughts only to find I've somehow levitated from our car to the school reception area. Sat behind the reception desk was a blonde middle aged woman with a wide friendly smile. She was wearing a formal white blouse and was sporting dark ruby lipstick. It was as if the universe knew that I needed a kind soul to help calm me down.

She was a total sweetheart.

The office had a mahogany and black theme, with glass doors and windows covering majority of the walls. By the two corners of the huge receptionist's desk, were pots of ferns. Behind the receptionist was a painting of the school emblem. To the left was a mahogany door and upon it a silver plate with the word"Principal" engraved into it. In the foyer to the right was a great statue of what I assumed was their school mascot. A Red Robin, in a mid flight position . There was a lot of light and sunshine and I was beginning to calm down." Good morning, you must be Rüya. It's wonderful to meet you, I am miss Rover." She greeted. "It's a pleasure meeting you too miss Rover." I replied.

"Mister and misses Gastambide, I assure that your daughter is in good hands." She said as my mom and dad hugged me goodbye before departing.

After getting the school map, time table and inserting my finger print in the school system for my locker (The tech here was very impressive) I was told to sit and wait for a tour guide. I was assigned to a girl that I apparently shared a homeroom and a few classes with.

"Hi, I'm Sandra and I'm guessing you are Rüya? She greeted. "Yeah, nice to meet you." I replied. "What does your name mean by the way, if you don't mind me asking." She said as she led me towards my locker. "It's Turkish for Fantasy." I said. "Wow... That's such a cool name." She said with genuine awe and sincerity.

"Oh. Um... Thanks." I stuttered and mentally reprimanded myself for it. We walked in a slightly awkward silence until we reached my locker not too long after. "What time does school start?" I asked as I opened my locker and which impressively had my finger print already programmed in it. The hall ways were much wider than the ones at New City High. They were a bright and cheery red. Almost as if it were purposely painted with the intent cheer students up.

"School starts at 9 o'clock today." She replied snapping me out of my thoughts. "Why so late?" I asked as I looked down towards the watch on my wrist. My old school started at 8 o'clock and I had assumed I was late seeing as it was currently 8:23 and the hall ways were quite deserted. "Oh it's because it's the first day. School starts at 9 o'clock every new semester or year. Its so school guides like myself can give awesome tours to newbies like you. Usually school should be starting in about... 7 minutes from now." She said as she looked down towards her own watch.

It's more convenient as we won't be late for class and miss anything. Though it isn't that big a deal, seeing as we hardly do any work on the first day." She replied. "Oh, makes sense. So how is it like Boarding here?" I asked. "Oh I'm not a boarder. You see not everyone uses the schools Residential Dorms. Only those whose parents think they'll focus better in boarding, and the international students. Oh! And the unlucky few who get sent of to boarding because their parents think they lack discipline." She rambled on.

"That's hectic. I'm beginning to question the real reason why I'm actually here." I said, making her laugh as we began my tour of the school.
The school had big spacious classes with state of the art technology. They didn't have hard copy textbooks. Parents had to buy iPads, where soft copy textbooks are uploaded. Even the gymnasium here was far more advanced than the one I knew, back home. The best part however was the music rooms. I'm so excited because I love music! I'm a singer, songwriter and pianist... well pianist in training.

Halfway through the tour when some students started arriving I started admiring more than just the infrastructure. Boy are the kids here hot. I couldn't help noticing this and I'm pretty sure that Sandra saw this too. She had an amused smile on her lips. I thought me and Sandra were really going to get along with the few times we laughed together and had fun on the tour.

Sometime later, a few minutes before 9 O'clock we made our way to the assembly hall. "Assembly is so long they have to cancel after school sports, on every second Monday, but it's not that bad seeing as it's once every two weeks, and sometimes when the senior students are in charge of assembly, it's actually dope." She ranted again as I nodded along.

After some time I began feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people accumulating in the Assembly hall. "I'm sure it's cool sitting up there like kings and queens don't you think?" She said as she pointed towards the far back where there was a high platform where some students were sat. "Who are they?" I asked. "Those are the seniors. You get so many privileges as a senior at Reddam. Even the teachers favor them." She said with awe and a slight hint of irritated envy.

It was in that moment while facing the back that I saw him. He was nothing short of beautiful. "Who's that?" I murmured subconsciously under my breath. "You mean the guy with the dimples?" Sharron said, seeming to have heard what was supposed to be my inside thoughts. You know, when you should say your thoughts in your head, where they can't embarrass you! "Wait what... um...uh... yeah... I-I think?" I stuttered out flustered. She just chuckled and said ok with an amused teasing expression. I face palmed as I began turning back around, but not before sneaking a last glance. This time I was caught of guard when he looked straight back at me.
