I'm Scared >> Gabriel

Prompt: you have a nightmare and your dad comforting you

Y/n's POV:
(Your 4 years old)

"Just leave y/n!" Your dad yelled at you. "Your such a screw-up! I never wanted you!" He insults. You cry harder.

"Daddy, please! I'm sorry, I'm sorry I'll be better!" You plead. He shoves you backward harshly before turning on his heels and leaving. You assume back to heaven.

You sit on your knees crying begging any higher power to bring your dad back. Not this man that looked like your dad. The dad that gave you candy when you did well and hugged you telling you it would be alright when you were scared. Now you had no one.

You awoke to feel a large hand on your shoulder. You sat up violently before seeing your dad. You jerked away in fear.

"Please don't hurt me, daddy." You cried.

"Hey hey, sugar, I will never hurt you, baby." He coos. He wraps his arms around you sitting your bed. You wrap your small arms around him crying into his chest.

"I'm scared, daddy." You whimper. His heart breaks at your wavering voice. You were scared of him. He was able to see bits and pieces of your dream when he first ran into your room. He was shoving you to the ground yelling at you.

It broke his heart that you had to see that. He would never do anything to hurt you.

When your mother died and his love he promised her he would never leave you. He left heaven behind and stayed here with you, raising his daughter alone.

He stroked your back soothingly.

"I promise you, baby girl, I would never hurt you. I have sworn on my life to always protect your baby." He coos into your ear. You sniffle and nod.

"Can I sleep with you tonight daddy." You whimper. He nods and picks you up carrying you to his bed.

After leaving heaven he began to attain human attributes such as needing to sleep.

He lays you down in his bed before lying next to you. You hugged your fuzzy plush moose that uncle Sammy gave you before cuddling up to your dad.

"I love you, daddy." You whisper.

"I love you too sugar." He says softly; kissing your head. You slowly let your eyes slide shut in a sweet dreamless sleep.
