Prompt: Gabriel talking to your baby girl when he thinks your asleep.

Y/n's POV:

As you head hit the pillow exhaustion immediately came over you. Your limbs ached and you were sore. You lazily threw your blanket over your body and you curled up. You sighed in comfort.

You heard footsteps of all speeds echo through the bunker. You had learned to recognize who's footsteps belonged to who.

The slower and quieter footsteps were Sam's. The fast and loud ones were Dean's and the slow ones where Cas'. The near-silent ones were Gabriel's.

You could hear the small sniffles of your daughter across the room in her crib. She begins to cry and you sigh before attempting to get up.

I really needed that nap sweetheart.

But before you can sit up near-silent footsteps make their way to your room.

"Shh, hey baby girl." You hear Gabriel coo to the 8-month-old. He must've picked her up because she quiets. "Hey, your momma needs to sleep sugar." He whispers.

You hear a creak and realize he's sat down in the rocking chair you have in the corner of your room. You hear him softly shushing her. He begins to hum softly and your daughter quiets down.

God, I love you, Gabe.

"See, there we go." He coos to her. You hear her babble incoherently. "Is that so princess?" He asks in fake surprise. She babbles more. "Oh, I had no idea." He fake gasps. You stifle a laugh at his antics.

"Da." She says. You and Gabriel both freeze.

"What did you say sugar?" Gabe asks her his voice wavering.

"Da, dada." She giggles. A breath escapes Gabriel's lips and you sit there in shock afraid of how he may react.

Your daughter wasn't Gabriel's biological child. Your ex-boyfriend has left you when you told him you were pregnant. Gabriel has always acted like a father to her but you two had never actually been together romantically.

"That's right baby, dada." He coos to her. A breath you didn't realize you hadn't been holding escapes you in relief.

You roll over to face Gabriel who is cradling your daughter close.

"Oh jeez, I didn't realize you were awake," Gabriel says bashfully. "Did you hear her first word!" Gabriel says excitedly like a child.

"Indeed I did." I smile.

"A-are, are you okay with that?" He asks carefully.

"I am more than okay with that Gabe." You say standing up and kissing his forehead before cradling your daughter in your own arms.

He stands up and hugs you from behind cradling your daughter with one of his arms while the other wraps around your waist.

He rests his chin on your shoulder and you both gaze at your daughter.

"You know, I wouldn't mind you being her father." You comment. You turn and face him to see a large smile spread across his face.

"I would be honored." He says pressing his lips to yours.

You immediately kiss back a sigh escaping you. Your daughter lets out a loud giggle and you and Gabriel pull away.

She places a cubby hand on each of your cheeks and pushes you two together. You both laugh and kiss again. She lets out a giggle and claps her hands together. Then Gabriel speaks up.

"She ships it."
