The blonde had a deep gash on his abdomen and it was extremely infected. I winced at the sight of the  yellow-tinted puss in the wound. With a flick of my wrist, a first-aid kit appeared by my side, electricity sparking from around it. I reached into it and grabbed a pair of latex gloves from its confines. Then I began to search for a disinfectant.

"May I ask you of your name? Mine's Kain." I said quietly, ripping the blonde's shirt from around the infected area.

"...Aoba." he muttered.

I looked towards the man, Aoba I mean, and gave him a small smile before getting straight to business.

"Tell me," I began,"how d'your friend get this injury, Aoba."

Aoba's eyebrows furrowed. "We were hiking together in the neighboring mountains when Noiz," he gestured to the sweating blonde," and I was attacked by a mountain lion."

I nodded. "And so, your friend Noiz was attacked defending you, thus resulting in this slash, correct?"

Aoba blinked in surprise. "Y-yeah... How did you-?"

"And then you ran into hunters and those said hunters saved you two from the mountain lion," I continued, closing my eyes," They felt pity for you and Noiz and pointed you to my place, hmm?"

Aoba's jaw dropped at my statement.

"Y-yes... That's exactly what happened," he said when he finally recovered. "How did you...? Are you-?"

"A psychic? No." I answered, opening my eyes,"I'm just really good at guessing."

While we were talking, I was cleaning out Noiz's wound. My dark-colored eyebrows drew together in worry as I examined the gash on his gut. This infection is out of this world... But, luckily I have plenty of anti... biotics...

I held up an empty glass bottle. I then frowned.

Oh, shit.
