-A current of pure electricity flowed through me as the generator short circuited.

A scream filled the air and I vaguely realized that it belonged to me. You know, you'd think that I'd be in incredible pain or something. That my appearance should resemble a black and burnt link sausage.

Haha~, nope.

The scream that filled the air was that of pure ecstasy. And during the entire ordeal, a huge grin was on my face (Not that'll you see, because of my mask that is.)

Just as the current stopped, my back door slammed open, revealing a frenzied Aoba.

"Kain!" he exclaimed when he saw my frazzled appearance. "What happened-oh my god!"

His eyes had landed on my hands, which was still jammed into the generator, thus resulting in his exclamation.

"He-ey...!" I drawled, twitching from the after shocks of my electrocution. "Wan-na... Na... Na... Help m-meee?"

After a moment or two, Aoba walked outside to do so, but hesitated when he reached out to grasp my shoulder.

"Is it okay to touch you?" Aoba asked, bringing his hand to his chest.

I nodded my head (but it looked like I was bobbing it uncontrollably, Aoba later told me, jokingly). "Y-You're g-goona... Ting-gle..."

I decided to leave it at that, hoping that Aoba would get the point (because my stuttering was sooo annoying).

Thankfully, Aoba nodded in understanding and gave a small smirk my predicament before helping me yank my hands out of the generator. Once freed, I collapsed on the ground, twitching every now and then. Aoba quietly sat down beside me before speaking.

"YOU IDIOT!"

THUMP!

A fist found purchase in my chest.

"AH-!" I yelped. Everything on my body was extra sensitive, so the already powerful punch was like... Oww.

"Why the fuck," Aoba threw his hands in the air, "did you do that?!"

"Uhh..." I groaned in answer.

"I mean seriously! What-?" Aoba punched my stomach this time, "-possessed you to stick your hands in an electricity producing product, hunh?!"

A groan of pain answered him again. Damn, Aoba punches hard...

"Y-you were i-in danger-!" I wheezed out after a moment of recuperation.

"Then why didn't you take us out?" Aoba retorted, not missing a beat.

I stopped moving (I was squirming around in pain) as I processed his words.

"Oh." I said lamely. I'm ashamed to admit that I totally didn't think of that...

Aoba's face softened at the look of dejection on my face.

"Well, you did save me and Noiz..." Aoba murmured.

"A-and I ha-ave the pl-ant." I offered, helpfully.

I'm glad I did, because Aoba's face lit up beautifully at my statement.

"You did?!" he exclaimed, teetering in his kneeled position happily.

"Y-yeah." I confirmed as I sat up.

With a gleeful yelp, Aoba embraced me. Then he drew back with an embarrassed chuckle. I gave an amused eye-crinkle as I slowly stood up.

"Now that I have the plant." I say as I picked up the said plant off the ground, "Let's nurse Noiz back to good health."

Aoba's dazzling smile seemed to fill my vision.
