Aoba was pacing the room in an agitated manner ever since Kain disappeared, promising the antibiotics for Noiz. This was about twenty minutes ago and Aoba has been restless since. With as faint sigh, Aoba stopped beside Noiz and looked out the window above him. It showed the clearing in which the small house was situated at. It also showed an awe-inspiring view of the mountains that seemed to surround this part of the countryside. Aoba frowned thoughtfully as his musings drifted to the mysterious masked man. Aoba knew that he was taking a huge risk trusting Kain. He barely even knew him! When the bobcat hunters told Aoba of a masked deviant living here, his first thought was to avoid him-it sounds dangerous. Unfortunately, he couldn't-the hunters didn't have any medical supplies on them and the masked deviant's home wasn't too far off from where they were located at the time. So Aoba and Noiz grudgingly trekked to the deviant's whereabouts, both hoping that he (or she) lived up to the deviantic kindness that the creatures were known for.

Aoba banged and banged on the door to the modest cottage before him. Noiz had fallen unconscious on the way there and he was gaining an unhealthy complexion about him with a fever to go with it. The gash on his torso grew worst when an infection set in, making the blonde's condition worrisome. And it was just icing on the cake when the infection grew at an unbelievably fast pace.

"Please...!" He begged, hoping that someone-anyone, would hear him. "H-he's gonna die if someone doesn't help h-him...!"

Sobs began to fill the air when no one answered his pleads. But that's when-!

CREAK!

-the door was yanked open. And there, in all his glory, was the masked deviant.

The deviant... His appearance was slightly disconcerning. He was very tall and was dressed in all black. Black pants, with a matching shirt, bandana, and mask...though the white bandages on his arms threw the all-black off. Is he injured? That's unlikely though... Aoba's eyes drifted towards Kage's (He wears all black, like a shadow, Aoba concluded.) face where they rested. Kage's eyes were... Glowing. And they had a strange glint to them, causing Aoba to look at him suspiciously (Though, I can't help but to think that his eyes were pretty.)

"Yo-ou...?" Kage rasped and then winced. "...need assistance for your friend?"

Aoba blinked, surprised. Is he offering help? Just like that?

"Y-yes!" he stuttered.

Kage nodded and motioned for Aoba to come inside. When Aoba shook his head, the deviant tilted his head, looking at him with green, inquisitive eyes.

"I-I don't have enough strength..." Aoba muttered ashamedly.

Kage nodded and reaches towards Noiz, oblivious to Aoba's body stiffening. When he had him in his grip, Kage walked inside the house carrying Noiz bridal style. Aoba kneeled there for a moment, gathering his strength, before walking inside.

"Ai," a gravely voice called out, startling him. "Make sure you close the door!"

Aoba glanced to the still ajar door with a faint blush-he totally forgotten.

"Yes!" Aoba called out. He winced at the way he sounded (Geez, he sounds like a pussy...)

After entering the room and cutting the lights on (he has electricity all the way out here?), Kage flicked his wrist and, with a crackle, a first-aid kit appeared by his side. As he began to rummage for something within it, Kage spoke.

"May I ask you of your name? Mine's Kain." Kage introduced quietly with a faint rasp in his voice.

"...Aoba." the blue haired man murmured, looking at Kain's hand as they worked.

"Tell me," the newly introduced Kain began,"how d'your friend get this injury, Aoba."

Aoba's eyebrows furrowed as he thought back, the feeling of guilt hitting him full force once again as he gave Kain a run-down of what happened.

Kain nodded. "And so, your friend Noiz was attacked defending you thus resulting in this slash, correct?"

Aoba blinked in surprise. He sure does have great deduction skills.

"Y-yeah... How did you-?"

"And then," Kain interrupted,"you ran into hunters and those said hunters saved you from the mountain lion." He closed his eyes. "They felt pity for you and Noiz and pointed you to my place, hmm?"

No way...! Aoba's jaw dropped.

"Y-yes..." Aoba said, answering Kain's unsaid question. "That's exactly what happened. How did you...? Are you-?"

"A psychic? No." the green-eyed deviant denied, opening his eyes. "I'm just really good at guessing."

While the two men were talking, the taller of the two was cleaning out Noiz's wound. Aoba could see the worry in the masked deviant's eyes as he examined it. Kain then huffed lightly before picking up a jar, about the size of an closed fist, with an twinkle in his eye. However, upon looking at the empty bottle, Kain's eyes widened before narrowing.

Aoba felt faint when Kain told him that he was out of the very thing that may save Noiz.
