unforgettable summer

• chapter 1 •

the clock almost strikes 3:00 pm . Skate , Sammy , Kara , Naomi , and Cameron are all in the same class . History 6th period . Mrs.Brown is educating the class on the revolutionary war but you could already see no one was listening . The clock is ticking away and than finally ... RING ! RING ! RING ! All of the friends give eachother big smiles and get out of the classroom asap . In the hallway they all met up with eachother . Cameron , Kara , and Naomi were walking together . Skate and Sammy snook behind their girlfriends and scared them . they kissed and held hands down the hallway .

Kara POV
(thoughts) ugh look at them they have what I want . Cameron and Skate are just so lovey dovey with eachother and Sammy and Naomi are the highschool sweethearts that everyone loves . I wish I could have something like that ....

"hey me and skate were gonna go bowling tonight . do you guys wanna come ?" Cameron asked .

"yah totally " Naomi and Sammy said excitedly . " I just need to get my homework done before I go " Naomi said . Sammy agreed

"you guys do homework !? I've never did homework in my life aha " skate admitted .

"is that why you have all Fs aha ? " Sammy joked .

"Kara can you come ? It wouldn't be the same if the whole squad wasn't there ." Cameron explained .

"yah I'm sure I can go I would have to ask first though" Kara told Cameron .

"yes !" Cameron shouted .

Sooner or later they reached the end of the hallway and parted their own ways . Since Naomi's father didn't know she has a boyfriend and her dad was waiting for her outside , Sammy and Naomi went their own way so that her dad wouldn't suspect anything . Cameron and Skate walked home together everyday possible . Skate's the bad boy so he always comes home late from walking Cameron home . Than there was Kara . Since she had no boyfriend she walked alone . Cameron always offered for her to walk with her and Skate and Naomi always insisted on giving her a ride home . but she just declined every time . That's her thinking time ... walking by herself . That's why she always declines her friends offers . Today when Kara was walking home a jeep full of guys that looked 102% drunk and stupid . They pulled up next to her and kept and yelling at her and telling her cheesy pick up lines . One guy yelled " get in the car !" Kara got nervous and she started walking faster . The jeep of boys got faster . Than Kara sprinted home as fast as she could to get away from the obnoxious boys . She finally got home and sat on the couch and took what felt like breaths she hasn't taken in ages because she ran so fast . Kara's dad walks in the room and asked her how her day was . She didn't want to tell him about the boys . So she told him about the boring history class and how Cameron invited her to go bowling . Her father decided she could go . Than Kara ran up to her room and slouched in the corner of her room and started to cry but she didn't know why . Maybe it was because of the boys thing she thought but she pulled herself together and walked into her closet , picked out some clothes and got ready .
