chapter four

     "McKenna! Please give me one of your weird Japanese chips!" Jaya pleaded turning around to look at McKenna in the back seat. "NO JAYA! these were very very expensive!" McKenna replied pulling the bag of chips away from Jaya's reach. "Who the hell pays 15$ for some gross ass chips?" Elijah said suddenly, he hadn't spoken for the past 20 minutes. They were now in new York they had been driving for 7 hours.

     "Evidently McKenna!" Jaya said giving up on trying to get a damn JAPANESE CHIP. Even Miley was trying to get a Japanese chip.

     "Elijah your car smells like shit." Jaya said glancing over at Elijah. "It's probably McKenna!" Elijah replied pointing at the backseat where McKenna sat reading a book. "What?" McKenna said looking up from her book.

      "What?" Elijah replied. "What did you say?". "Nothing?". "You obviously said something!" McKenna began to shout. "I didn't say anything my lips have been sealed the entire time!". They went on with this bickering for about 30 minutes until Jaya shut them up.

     They then sat in silence for a bit before McKenna broke the silence. "Hey Jaya you have a funny name." McKenna said drowsily laughing. "Fuck you." Jaya replied. McKenna continued to laugh for a solid minute. "At least my initials aren't m m m bitch" Jaya said. McKenna didn't reply she just sat looking out of the window  observing the miles and miles of feilds.

     "Hey Jaya did you bring your Walkman?" McKenna asked. "Yeah but I'm using it wait your turn." Jaya replied. McKenna sighed and continued to look out of the window.

                       2 hours later

     "Elijah how much longer is this stupid road trip is taking way to fucking long." Jaya said growing very very  impatient. "It's 2:30 we've been driving for 7 hours so we have 13 hours left." Elijah replied. Jaya sighed very loudly turning her head to look out the window at the miles and miles of farm land. ( i had to do math in the paragraph give me credit for that.)

                                                            (time skip to 7:30 because im lazy)

     It was now 7:30pm they had been driving for 12 hours and were now in North Carolina. (please correct me if that math is wrong) "can we stop at a hotel or something? I'm extremely tired and sick of Jaya talk about Minecraft" Elijah said already pulling into the nearest hotel without any response. "Hey words hurt, im very offended." Jaya said yawning mid sentence. "stop the act Jaya we all know you're not tired you're more then likely getting no sleep tonight." McKenna stated. "first of all you are right and second of all this better be a pet friendly hotel I SWEAR TO GOD ELIJAH!" Jaya replied. "i think it is" Elijah said. "YOU THINK?!!"

     The three teens eventually went into the oddly fancy lobby of the hotel. "Hello miss um is this place pet friendly?" Elijah asked the old woman at the front desk. "Depends on what kind of pet." she replied in her deep raspy voice. "uh its a dog" he said. "k". "well can we get a room?". "how many people?" she said sitting up in her chair ready to type on her computer that looked as if it were as old as the teens in the lobby just standing there awkwardly. "3 people and 1 dog." he said obviously very nervous but he dosent even know why. "ok, how many nights?" she asked. Elijah just sat there and stared at her it was like he was frozen. Jaya pushed passed him. "Uh only one" Jaya said staring at the frozen boy in the middle of the lobby. "okay you,re room number is 184 here is your key." she said handing Jaya a rusty key with faded numbers on it that read '184'. Jaya began to walk away from the frozen Elijah because she just didn't  care, so McKenna punched him in the arm not hard nor soft and it seemed to snap him out of whatever state of shock he was in. "common Elijah we have our room now, Jaya and Miley left us here common," she said grabbing his arm and pulling him to Jaya who was waiting for the two at the front of the elevator.
