Delilah was used to seeing sunsets in the fallout. They didn't really seem like much, but when Rose saw one outside of nuka world for the first time her olive eyes lit up. Like she had just witnessed a magic trick. It made Delilah's heart skip a beat. It usually did when Rose had that look on her face, or when she gets excited over an experiment, or when she sticks her tongue out when she's focusing on something, or when she just looks at Delilah.
It made her face burn and her stomach do flips and she'd be lying if she said she didn't like it. Suddenly, rose turned to her and took Delilah's hands into hers. Even though Rose's bandages her hands felt warm. "I have a proposal," Rose said excitedly. Delilah could tell Rose was trying not to bounce around and blurt it out.
Delilah smiled and asked "What is it?" Rose looked like she was glowing with joy. "Let's get married!" Rose practically smilied. Her grin grew even more.
Delilah felt like she had burst into flames. Her cheeks turned a dark red and it felt like her fingertips went numb. "C-come again?" She barely managed to get it out. Rose nodded "That way we never have to leave each other! I asked my mom why I wanted to spend so much time with you and why you made me feel so-" Rose had thought for a moment, her cheeks also turning a deep red.
She then looked back at Delilah and said "Alive!" Delilah's shocked face melted into a soft smile. "It sounds like a plan!"
