Silence flooded the room. The two men stared at one another with nothing but shock. Feyril felt his throat dry; however, Autumn smiled at the man. She got off her chair and approached Raug. Feyril shot up from his seat.
"Child-"
"Hi, Mister Raug, I knew you'd show up!"
Feyril fell silent. Raug was expected, as was him. He heard the child giggle as he pulled the confused man towards the table. Feyril looked at Raug. He remembered that Raug had dark green hair, but since he was in his human form, his hair changed to black. His once red eyes were now green. With the clothes he wore, anyone could assume that he was a tough guy, and he was.
Autumn pulled a chair from a different table and bought it over to them. She pats the seat while staring at Raug. "Sit down, Mister Raug! Mister Fewril and I are happy to see you! Right, Mister Fewril?"
Feyril could question the situation, but he decided to go along with it. "Of course, child."
Raug took a seat while Autumn left the room. Feyril took a deep breath, for he knew what was about to happen.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Okay, not exactly what he thought, but he wasn't too far off. Feyril played with his blonde hair.
"I... could ask you the same question," Feyril said before pausing, looking for the correct words to say. "The Seraph wanted me to investigate the girl. Though... I do not think that he will believe what I heard..."
Raug was quiet, so he must be processing what Feyril had said. For some odd reason, Feyril was anxious. Perhaps it was due to him reviewing what Autumn had told him in his head. He wasn't too sure...
Raug glanced at Feyril after a minute of silence, which the angel was thankful for. "So what's going on? Did the kid tell you anything?"
"She told me things that are very... complex... And hard to believe... Why?"
Feyril watched the demon give out a huff. "I think the kid's fucking with us," Raug said as he glanced to the side. "For example, she called me by my name when I've never met her before. And she expected me to show up? What the hell is that all about?"
"Please, Raug, watch your words... We're in an orphanage..." Even though what Raug said was alarming, since Raug's situation seems to be similar to his own, he didn't want to show it.
"Feyril, priorities, please?" Raug said. It was clear that he pissed him off, so Feyril quickly bowed his head a little.
"Forgive me, Raug. Force of habit..." Feyril stared at his clasped hands as his mind nearly drifted off. "I... I have experienced those moments as well. When I first saw her, she knew who I was. I had completely forgotten our first encounter until a few minutes ago."
"Huh," Raug lowered his arms. "Okay, I'm even more convinced that the kid's fucking with us..."
"Language..."
The two jumped as the area became dark once again. The sounds of laughing children were no more. Autumn had reentered the room at some point. Her eyes were dull, and her round head was playfully cocked to the side. She was smiling, but there was no emotion behind it. She skipped to the startled men and joined them on the table. She once again cupped her cheeks before staring at Raug.
"And, you are wrong, Mister Raug. So... Very... Wrong...~"
Raug glared at the little girl. Before he could yell, Feyril stood up and gently placed a hand on his arm. The angel gave no words, but a small head shake was enough to get Raug to calm down. Autumn nodded at Feyril before turning to Raug.
