"Her name's Lyrana Abella Esmee Faye De Garnein von Montgelas Bourbon-Penthièvre Vaillancourt," he said, his face expressionless.
I was about to nod when my brain started working again. My blue eyes widened and my mouth dropped into a 'o.'
"W-what?" I stuttered. I never stutter. Curse you, Zabini.
I saw Blaise start to deflate a little. "Uh. I may have fancied you for 3 years," he admitted.
I could literally feel my heart pound. So he didn't hate me? He likes me? Do I like him?
But before I could answer, he opened his mouth to talk. "So... Do you feel the same?" he asked quietly, looking at the ground.
And before my brain caught up with my body-or something worse happened like him walking away, for example- I leaned forward and kissed him.
Don't know what came over me or what made me, I kissed him. On the lips. And I didn't hate it.
Actually, it felt rather good. It kind of felt like fireworks. Kind of like a fire burning in my stomach.
Blaise was still for a moment before he responded. He cupped my jaw with one hand and the other went around my waist, pulling me closer to him, so that I was practically on his lap.
We broke apart when we needed air, both our cheeks flushed-me more than him.
"Uh. I'm sorry?" I squeaked. I mentally face-palmed. Seriously, Lyrana? You say 'I'm sorry?' wow.
Blaise chuckled. "Why are you sorry?" he asked, rubbing his thumb against my cheekbone.
And suddenly, my brain went on a vacation. I was speechless for probably the third time in my whole entire life. The previous two were also because of him.
"... hm?" I looked at him from below my eyelashes. I might not be able to talk right now, but I might as well try to flirt without words.
"I made Lyrana Abella Esmee-" I cut him off.
"Don't repeat that. I hate my full name." I pulled away from his grip, scowling.
Blaise smirked. "What? The name Lyrana Abella Esmee-"
I groaned. "Stop!"
He continued. "Faye De Garnein-"
I buried my head in my hands. "Stop," I muttered.
"Von Montgelas Bourbon-" he was cut off by me reaching forward and crashing my lips onto his. Needless to say, he stopped talking.
I pulled away right as he was about to kiss back.
"Shut up, Zabini," I muttered, standing up.
Blaise snickered. "You have a hell of a long name, Lyrana," he teased, giving me the bottle of firewhiskey.
"Oh haha. Yes. Maman and Papa had a field day naming me," I mumbled, taking his hand and intertwining it with mine.
Blaise looked at me curiously.
"What?" I asked, self-conscious.
He just pointed at our hands and smirked. "You never answered my question. Do you feel the same?"
I scoffed. "I thought me kissing you was enough for an answer," I huffed.
"Aw. It's okay. You don't need to say it if it's going to ruin your ego," he teased, turning me so I faced him.
I glared at him. "I don't have an ego," I muttered under my breath.
"What was that, love?" he asked.
"Fine. I may have the tiniest crush on you," I admitted. Actually, I whispered it. Like really quietly. But apparently, that was good enough for Blaise because he grinned and pulled me down the tower, towards the dungeons.
