Kirigiri POV

A killing game. Gaps in my memory. Predictable tactics for an unpredictable scenario.

Sayaka's voice cuts through my thoughts, "Me and Naegi found the motive tapes. There's one for each of us."

The class all follow her, I noticed the tremors in her fingers. Too trusting, Too afraid, both would or could get her killed.

The AV room was already ajar, inside Neagi stood frozen. Two disks in hand-one labeled Makoto and the other, a worn out label. Math Tutorial.

Togami scoffed, "Snooping through other's lives already, Naegi? How...pedestrian."

Naegi's hands came up in surrender, but his voice lacked the usual stammer. "It-it was just here! Look the labels peeling-"

Odd. His panic was performative. Like he'd rehearsed how to sound scared.

I plucked my own motive from the box, eyes lingering on the Makoto label under Neagi's thumb. Two tapes. One name. Either a mistake....or a message.

Why double the motive? Unless it wasn't a motive at all, perhaps a threat.

Reluctantly, my focus fell onto my own tape. Well until Sayaka's outburst distracted my focus, watching her dash out the room, tape clutched to her chest.

Naegi, is staring down at the Makoto tape like it's a live wire, just what exactly are you hiding ultimate lucky student?
