Finally watched KH3 Re:Mind...

... and I'm convinced Demyx is the Master of Masters.

I'll fight people over this XD

Also it gave me some interesting ideas. Because I'm 99% sure that Luxord, Larxene, and Marluxia are in the same boat as Xigbar. But I don't wanna give too much away cause I might just go wild and blow past KH3 and go straight for KH4 ^_^;

[THEBES]

[One Month Ago]

The battle of Thebes is over, and once again Sora won. Xigbar had watched from a close distance with amusement as the boy finally met one of the lost Keybearers, pulling her in under his wing like he did so often with anyone in need.

It was all falling into place, just as it had been predicted.

His golden eye rests on the figures of Maleficent and her lackey, Pete, as they dejectedly shuffle away from the gardens, unable to find the black box they foolishly believed was buried on this world.

"May your heart be your guiding key," he recites, his voice even more gravely than usual from the smoke filling the air due to the fires covering the city.

"Picture this," a voice booms, causing the former Nobody to jump in surprise at the sudden intrusion. "A black goat stashes away a letter, then orders a white goat to search for it," Luxord muses as he steps out from a swirling black and purple portal. "What could his intentions possibly be?"

"Great, a riddle. Just what I need," Xigbar mocks as he turns towards his colleague.

Luxord flicks his wrist, a card appearing in his hand. All Xigbar can see is the white Nobody symbol on its back.

"There are many possibilities. Perhaps he forgot where it's hidden," Luxord suggests as the card disappears with a wave of his hand. "Or he's playing a prank," he holds up his hands, now clasping onto six cards each, "or the letter has truly gone missing. I can think of several reasons offhand; guessing, is simply useless."

"Wellllllll, then just follow your orders. Plain and simple," Xigbar argues with a dramatic shrug.

"Yes, that's what I've always done," Luxord agrees. "I followed the orders from above without question. However, I sometimes can't help but read into my opponent's strategy."

Luxord gives a tap of his finger on his forehead as Xigbar releases a laugh.

"Too long on the job?" he guesses.

"If the contents of the box are so unknown, why is it of such critical importance to the Organization?" Luxord presses with narrowed eyes, knowing that the one-eyed Xigbar is hiding something. "Furthermore, was it Xemnas or Xehanort who gave the order?"

"Well, it's tricky," Xigbar admits.

There's a moment of silence, a slight smirk appearing on Luxord's face, before he continues.

"All Xehanort cares about is the clash between the seven lights and thirteen darknesses," he states as he stares down at the holes dug by Maleficent and Pete. "It's unlikely he would hold such an interest in this mysterious box. Which means the order was issued by... Xemnas. Or the one who informed me of my task. You."

How he even knows about the box, is beyond Xigbar. But Luxord clearly knows more than he realized.

"As if!" Xigbar brushes off the accusation with a chuckle as he rests a hand on his hip. "Must've been Xemnas."
