Aurora's POV

I splash my face with water before looking up into the mirror. My face is pale and my eyes flicker around, never focusing on one point for too long. My hands tremble violently.

If I tell him... what will he do? Will he hit me? He's never done it before, what a silly thought. Maybe he'll bite me or worse kick me out, that sounds more than unlikely.

Gosh! I'm such a coward!

"Is everything alright in there?" Xander asks as he knocks on the bathroom door. After a while he knocks again, "Aurora? Are you okay?"

"Yea-yeah I'm f-fine," I stammer as I wipe my tears away.

"Please don't lie to me," he pleads while trying the door handle, not being able to open the door.

What am I even afraid of? He's my mate after all. He wouldn't hurt me, I'm so stupid for thinking he ever would. He loves me.

I take a deep breath before I walk out and face Xander. His eyes flicker over me frantically, searching for visible wrongs. His hands squeeze my shoulders and I place my hands on his.

"I need you to listen to me, okay," I start as my eyes fall to the floor, "I-I'm pregnant."

I look up at him. His face holds no emotion at all, he simply stares at me with a blank face.

"Say that again, will you," he suddenly says as his hands fall from my shoulder.

"I'm pregnant," I repeat as I wipe my hands on my hoodie.

"This is amazing!" He suddenly lights up as he lifts me up and spins me around.

"Really?"

"Yes!" He exclaims before giving me a long kiss. "This is perfect actually!"

"I'm so glad," I smile as tears of relief trickle down my cheeks.

"I love you, you know that."

"I love you to, I never could've asked for a better mate," I smile as I hug him tightly.

He gives me one more kiss before leading me to the bed.

"We're not going anywhere today," he snickers as he lightly pushes me onto the bed. I can't help but giggle.
