FOURTY

MONDAY 11/18

Taehyung, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin kept on talking for the entire lunch, Hoseok and Yoongi keeping their full attention on each other, Taehyung and Jin pretending they don't exist, to give them at least a bit of privacy.

They left the cafeteria together, while Taehyung was asking them not to tell anyone he was Cupid. They agreed. In the hallway they parted ways and when Yoongi and Seokjin could no longer be seen, Hoseok grabbed his best friend's sleeve, jumping excitingly.

"He gave me his number! I didn't even ask he gave it to me by himself. Do you think he likes me?"

"I think he might, yeah."

"Oh my god. Watch it Taetae I could be in a relationship next thing you know!"

They entered their classroom and were greeted right away by Namjoon, Jimin and Jeongguk who followed them to their seats, all asking questions at the same time.

"You know them?"

"Why did you ditch us?"

"Are you both friends with them?"

"Are they your crushes?"

This last question had been asked by Jeongguk, which made all eyes fall on him. It was the first time he asked such a personal question to someone. Taehyung looked at Hoseok briefly, seeing a tint of pink decorating his cheeks.

"I'm not interested in Seokjin." Taehyung answered, eyeing Jeongguk, not missing the hint of relief that passed his features. "But Hobi..."

"Shut up!" His cheeks were becoming darker and darker as every eyes were on him.

"Oooh are you interested in Yoongi? He is quite good looking." Jimin agreed.

"And he's a sweetheart." Taehyung added, smiling.

"Shut up, all of you.."

"How do you know them?" Namjoon asked once again.

"They're my friends. Jin and I agreed we should try to get Hoseok and Yoongi to talk because we ship them."

"Oh my god that's why we ate with them!" Hoseok exclaimed. Suddenly, everything made more sense to him.

Taehyung smiled at his best friend, proud of himself. It went even better than he imagined, given they now had each other's phone numbers. He turned back to his three other friends and noticed Jeongguk, who was staring at nothing in particular, seemingly lost in thoughts.

"You okay Gguk?"

It took a few seconds before Jeongguk finally looked back at Taehyung and smiled at him. He nodded slightly and suddenly left, to go back to his seat. Jimin joined him right away, but Namjoon stayed back. He eyed Taehyung up and then, leaned over his table to whisper something to his ear.

"Jeongguk always stays back at the library after the last class. If you want to talk to him alone you know where to find him."

Taehyung nodded, while Namjoon was going back to his seat. Hoseok asked what he had said, but the blue hair didn't answer, because he was the one lost in thoughts now. Was he this obvious? Maybe Namjoon was just really smart. Surely he wasn't this obvious.
