Don't worry, this one is pure English xdd

There was a party in the suburbs. It was a birthday party of one of her sister's friends. She herself was not much of a party girl. But everything is sometimes for the first time and so here she was. Kate Stinson, a great dancer, and musician was standing in a corner, closest to the speakers, drinking a punch alone. Her sister and friends were somewhere in the dancing crowd.

What am I doing here? I don't even know whose party it is, she thought.

Then suddenly, the crowd started forming a circle, cheering, and making a racket. Kate rolled her eyes and was ready to leave, when the crowd circle widened and pulled her in. And then she saw the birthday girl.

She was in the middle of the circle, a crown on her bubble-gum pink head, her hips waving in the rhythm of a quick Cuban song.

Is it a cha-cha? Mambo?

Nobody seemed to care.

Kate did not have to search in the crowd for more than a second to find her best friend, Ash.

"Hey, how you doin'," yelled Ash over the music.

"Pretty good."

"Not gonna dance?"

"Nah, I won't steal the birthday girl's spotlight."

"I'm actually surprised you're even here. Bet Leah made you come with her."

"You're right, I don't even know the party queen. I was just gonna leave but the crowd pulled me in."

Ash opened his mouth to say something, but the DJ interrupted them.

"Uh-oh, looks like Nor's picking an opponent for a dance battle. This is gonna be interesting, ladies and gentlemen!"

Indeed, the party queen began scanning everyone with her sharp green eyes. Then she stopped and pointed her finger randomly into the crowd. She was pointing at Kate.

"Choose a song and come closer, puny human," yelled Nora and the crowd started cheering.

Kate came to the DJ area, told him the song she wanted, her name, and she came closer to the queen.

"Everyone ready? I give you the one and only Eleanor Joyce versus Kate Stinson," yelled the DJ and the song started.

But it was not just some song. This song shook the floor and ceiling. It was Pump by Valentino Khan. Kate's favourite. She always enjoyed the beat and the energy flow. And now the game was on. She was ready.

Nora stood still, watching Kate curiously. Kate was the one to start. She did a basic breakdance trick and added an arm wave while getting up. Nora repeated and added a backflip. Kate repeated and then she got on her hands, hand walking and waving her legs in the air. She got up and grinned. Nora repeated. Another trick. Kate repeated. Another trick.

This went on for the whole song. Then at the end, Kate performed something no-one ever did before. It looked like a skate dancing trick, just without the board. Nora stared at her for a while, then took off her crown and handed it over to Kate with a simple "impressive" and a seducing smile. Kate blushed, took the crown, and went back to her corner, Ash whistling and clapping.

"That was amazing, Katie," he yelled.

Kate made a heart shape with her thumb and index finger and smiled.

The party went on. Soon, everyone was drunk, high or both. Smoke from cigarettes and joints was filling up the room. The challenges, bets and games were getting more and more insane.

And Kate, to everyone's surprise, was enjoying the mayhem. Not realising it until now, she was quite literally born to be wild.

She was just returning to her corner when the birthday girl caught her.

"Hey... Katie, was it? I just wanted to say: well done! Really, it's not easy to find someone like you."

"Someone like me?"

"Challenging," said Nora, sounding as if she was... Flirting.

Why. Is. A. Hot. Girl. Flirting. With. Me?!

"Wait a minute," said the birthday girl suddenly. "Now that I look at you closer, you're reminding me of someone... Aren't you, by any chance, Kaykay? Leah's little sister?"

"Y-yeah, that's me..."

"I knew I know you from somewhere. We used to play together, remember?"

A sudden flash of memories came, showing a little blonde girl with a few teeth missing. She was pretending to be a barmaid, serving drinks in Hello kitty teacups to the others.

"Yeah, we used to play the bar game."

"Well let's play once more."

"Yeah, a drink would be nice."

So they went to the deserted kitchen with a huge bar.

"So, you're still holding on that dream?"

"Well yeah, that's why I'm studying at the same college as your sister. Hotel and restaurant management. Duh."

Okay, I misspoke earlier. Why is a hot COLLEGE girl flirting with me?!

"So, what is your dream, Kaykay?"

"Dancing and singing. And maybe acting," she said passionately, a bright spark in her eyes.

"Singing? You can sing? Would you please sing something for me?"

Katie took a deep breath, closed her passion-lit eyes, and started singing.

Say goodbye to OZ and everything you own

California dreaming is a Pettibon

LA's screaming you're my home

Vanity is blasted but it's rarely fair

I can smell the Prozac in your pretty hair

Got a lot of friends but is anyone there?

I don't know but it's been said

Your heart is stronger than your head

And this location is my home

Stick'n'move, you're living in a quick world

Got a heavy laugh for such a tiny girl

Born into it, that's for sure

Rivers get connected so much stronger than expected, well

Sick love comes to wash us away

Prisons of perspective, how your vision gets corrected and

Sick love is my modern cliché

Then she took a bow and accepted the offered drink with a "thank you". It was a piña colada.

"I should've sung the Piña colada song."

"Well why don't you?"

"Sorry baby, but a second song is extra and I ain't cheap," said Katie, smirking.

"Then why don't you at least dance with me? Please, just one dance."

"M'kay."

Nora plugged her phone into the bar sound system and tapped play.

Stay, just a little bit longer...

"Do you know how to do the dirty mambo, Kaykay?"

"Of course I do."

So Nora placed her hands on Katie's back and Katie grabbed Nora's sweet tushie. And they started dancing, just like Johnny and Baby in the Dirty dancing movie.

And they danced like that for the rest of their lives, happily ever after.
