When a Guardian first begins their training, they are taught how to slay monsters, how to harness the power inside of them, and how to protect themselves from darkness. Six months of training go into combat and aura-sensitivity training. After that, they're assigned to a squad of lesser Guardians, with a Captain and Lieutenant leading them. Five years after serving together, they are lifted to the rank of Guardian Knights, with whole new powers depending on how they performed in their lesser squads. I was the Captain of Fireteam Pegasus for five years before we all became Knights, but we were forced to split up. Only when a true threat emerged again did we come back together. We may have been divided for a while, but we all have the same goal, and that is the Restoration, no matter where it takes us.
