So... I'm feeling a bit better, still sad but I have more motivation knowing that my friend is doing well. In going to basically rewrite the last chapter, and elaborate more. Sorry about how messy Part 3 was!

Jesper

Taking care of this kid was easier than expected. She ran on apple juice and stolen cookies, so she was basically Wylan 24/7. He was trying to finish up a new bomb, and that's all he ate. As he messed around with the wiring on the smoke bomb, Evelyn and I talked. She trusted me, saints only know why, and after pressing her for details, I found out she had a big sister, Roslyn. Apparently, Roslyn was still at the last orphanage. Evelyn got lost after running to get milk one evening.
"The lady who ran the orphanage wanted to make us cookies, but she needed milk. I knew my way around, because I was constantly trying to get outside." She said. I nodded, knowing how it felt to want to constantly do something. She couldn't remember the name of the orphanage, so I started writing them out on a napkin. There were three orphanages in Ketterdam, and one near the Barel. I looked at Eve.
"Why didn't you tell Inej? Or Kaz?" She hung her head.
"If they found out, and then Roslyn got hurt, I'd be so sad." I smiled sadly. When Inej and Kaz came down to the bar, I told them about what I learned. Inej looked at me like I had three heads.
"How did you, of all people, get that out of her?" Wylan snorted, looking up from his rough sketch.
"No clue. I'm surprised he sat still long enough to hear the whole story." I pretended to be hurt, putting my hand dramatically over my heart. Evelyn got out of her seat and walked over to Kaz and Inej.
"Can we find my sister? It's almost her birthday!" Inej bent down to look her in the face.
"Of course, we'll try our hardest." Evelyn grinned. Inej stood, looking at me.
"Hey Jes, do you know the names of the orphanages?" I nodded, sliding her the napkin. Kaz leaned over the bar, scanning the names quickly. He glanced at Evelyn, who was chugging a lemonade faster than humanly possible.
"Hey Eve, you said a lady ran your orphanage, right?" She nodded, not talking her mouth off of her straw. Kaz pursed his lips, crossing off one of the orphanages. "This one is ran by two guys, no women are there except for the maid and the girls who live there." Wylan looked over, interested.
"Read the names off Jes, I'm fairly certain one of them is run down." I read them off one by one, and he shook his head. "Cross the second one off." I did, looking at the napkin.
"There's one left," I said, shuddering,"and it's in Dime Lion territory."

Nina

"Matthias!" He poked his head out of the bathroom. "Inej just stopped by to tell me Eve has a sister at an orphanage and their going to reunite them!" He furrowed his brow.
"Who?" I groaned.
"Evelyn? The girl they found?" He nodded absentmindedly, continuing to get ready for the day. You would think I would take forever, but nooo, he takes two hours to get ready. I only take one hour and forty eight minutes; Inej counted. We were going to dinner at Wylan's mansion so we could all figure out how to help Evelyn be reunited with her only family without being attached by the gang who owned the territory. Kaz looked into it more, checking files and looking at the recently adopted kids. Roslyn was still there, and the lady who ran the orphanage was Georgia Walt, a blond woman in her late thirties. I straightened my red blouse, tugging lightly on the black jeans that hugged my curves. When Matthias came out, her scanned me over, grinning. "Like what you see?" He picked me up and kissed me. I shrieked in joy. "We have to go! We're going to be late!" He pouted slightly and opened the door for me.
"After you my darling." I smirked and walked out, and together we walked hand in hand to the mansion.

Wylan

I finished buttoning my shirt and walked out of our room, only to walk straight into Jesper. He grinned.
"Hello to you too!" He ran his thumb along my cheek. "Aw, your blushing! So cute!" I scowled.
"Jes! Their on the way over here, I gotta get downstairs. He nodded, kissing my head.
"Yup, you do. Yet you're still here, I wonder why?" I blushed and pushed past him. I went down the stairs two at a time, reaching the door just as Inej and Evelyn showed up. I welcomed them in, taking Eve's sweater off and hanging it up.
"Where's Kaz?" Inej rolled her eyes.
"Trying to contact Georgia Walt. Apparently the phone number is invalid." (I'm not sure if there's phones, but I'm thinking of those phones where you spin a wheel to get the phone number, idk) I nodded. Jes came down from his shower just as Nina and Matthias showed up. We all sat down for dinner, and began talking about the orphanage, business as usual, and Inej's slave hunting. We were getting ready for desert just as Kaz showed up. We looked at him in shock; his hair was a mess and he was covered in blood. Inej pushes out of her chair and ran over to him. (There's swearing btw) "Kaz! Where the hell were you!" Nina jumped up too, looking at the blood.
"Who's blood is that? Kaz Brekker, I will fucking kill you, what did you do?" I cover Evelyn's ears as the girls continued to bombard him with colorful questions. Finally, he brought his cane down to the floor with a bang, shutting them up.
"I was at the orphanage, ran into a few Dime Lions. It's their blood, don't worry. Basically, tomorrow is the day we see Roslyn, it was too late tonight. Eve jumped up, hugging Kaz. He stiffened, but hugged her back. "I'm glad you're happy, kid." Inej kissed him quickly. We finished dinner; Kaz wasn't hungry. Jesper was getting bored, and he kept whispering to Nina. Finally, Evelyn finished her brownie and they all went home. Jes pulled me into a hug.
"I think Kaz is going to adopt Roslyn and Evelyn with Inej." I nodded.
"Do you think he'll propose to Inej? They've been dating for almost three years, though it seems like five." Jesper looked at me.
"I don't know. Maybe, Kaz is unpredictable." Then he looked at me. "We could get married you know." I looked at him, my mouth hanging open. "Oh, close your mouth Wy. I'm serious." He got down on one knee, pulling out a black box. "Wylan, will you marry me?" In the box, there was a thin silver band. I gasped.
"I-yes. Yes, Jes, of course I'll marry you!" He grinned, slipping the ring on my finger. I grinned and kissed him. The rest of the night was a blur, a really, really good blur.

EEEE! I already planned it all, but reading it makes me happy. Anywho, I'm super motivated, so I'll probably have the best part out today. Have a good day/night!

Mental health check: It's okay if it takes you long to heal. I know from personal experience that we all heal differently, so don't be ashamed if you aren't happy as fast as you want to be. It takes time, and that's alright. Love you guys!
