Oh hey!!! Imma keep this short, but I have a request. If it's not to much, could you guys comment? I would love to hear any constructive criticism, or just how your doing. Love you guys!

Jesper

The girls came barreling (haha get it, Barel, barreling? I know my jokes suck🤣) down the stairs, pure joy painted across their features.
"Da's awake! He's okay!" Eve jumped into my arms as Nina embraced Roslyn. I put the smaller girl onto my shoulders, knowing she loved being so high off the ground.
"That's great kiddo!" I glanced over at Nina, Wylan, and Matthias and we all sighed in relief. We would never say anything to Kaz, but there was a point where we were too worried to even look at the kids, knowing we couldn't act happy enough. We talked to the girls, pouring them sodas and giving them a cookie. A little while later Kaz and Inej came down, both dressed and ready for a normal day as if nothing had happened. A few people looked up from their whiskeys, or stopped the game of pool to see how he was. Kaz slammed his cane against the stair, drawing all the attention to him.
"You act like you've never seen someone get hurt before." A dreg named Tomas rolled his eyes.
"We've never seen you get hurt though." In two swift movements, Tomas was on the floor with Kaz's cane to his throat.
"Hm, intriguing. What, did you think I was invincible or something? Maybe, a monster? I wonder why." Kaz kicked him in the jaw, leaving the grown man to howl in pain. Kaz grinned at us, sitting next to the girls and getting a shot to clear his head. "So, Inej got the money. Did you get your share Jes?"    I nodded. A faint smile crossed his face. "Good." Nina glared at Kaz.
"Brekker, you better get that leg fixed." A growl escaped his mouth and he glared back at her.
"No. This is my fault, I'll deal with it. Inej already tried to talk me out of it." His jaw tightened, and he was obviously ready to hit something. Nina rolled her eyes dramatically.
"Look at me, I'm Kaz Brekker, and I don't care about my basic well being." Nina was smart, but saying something like that was something even she couldn't get away with.
"Listen here dumb fuck. I. Am. Fine." Nina gasped and lunged at him, and Matthias grabbed her swiftly. Inej was one step ahead of Nina though, and cleanly smacked Kaz across the face. Roslyn cringed and picked up her little sister, carrying her to their room. I nodded to Wylan and we walked up to make sure they were alright, or at least didn't completely hate their parents.

Inej

I have never hit Kaz before, but something was up with him, and him swearing at Nina blinded me with sheer anger. He blinked the pain out of his crow like features, starring at me in confusion. Matthias lost grip on Nina, but she stood there in amazement, watching to see how it would play out.
"Seriously Kaz? Dumb fuck is the best you could come up with? Just because your to stubborn to get your leg checked out doesn't mean you can lash out at Nina." He hung his head low, the anger seeping out of him as quickly as it had entered him.
"I know 'nej, it was dumb." He looked up at Nina and frowned apologetically, and Nina nodded, knowing that was the closest to sorry she'd get. I sighed.
"We should probably go check on the girls. I never hit anyone in front of them, especially you." He nodded. We carefully knocked on their door. Wylan opened it, grimacing and glancing at Jesper. He stepped out to meet us on the landing.
"So, once we explained to Eve that you guys still love each other, she didn't care. Rose on the other hand..." he trailed off. Kaz bit his lip, thanking him. I opened the door so Jes could leave with Wylan, and I sat on Roslyn's bed. Eve began to play with her dolls, showing Kaz the dollhouse Matthias made for her. I braided Rose's hair.
"I don't hate your father sweetheart. And he doesn't hate Nina. The only way to get him to calm down was to surprise him, and you know I don't hit him." She nodded.
"Why is his leg messed up?" I giggled.
"He fell when we were teenagers, and he's too stubborn to fix it," she nodded. Kaz walked over.
"Do you hate me?" She shook her head.
"Nah, mom told me why you yelled at Nina." He winced, obviously regretting what he said. "Da, why don't you act like you act with us in front of the gang? You said the gang is your family, why don't you act happy with them?" He laughed.
"I have a reputation for being a ruthless man. I- it's hard to explain darling." I took his hand, knowing it was thanks to his dark past that he was the man he was know for today. Roslyn didn't notice his discomfort and went over to her desk to finish her sketch of my boat. I sat up and stretched.
"Kaz, I would like to go check out that new gang before it gets dark." He nodded and we told the girls goodnight and walked out of their room, Kaz following.

Kaz

Inej went to explore the new territory of an up and coming gang who decided to make the Crows their enemy. I sat at my desk, finishing off paperwork concerning the merchant situation. When she came back, I stripped and washed off in the wash basin. I looked at her expectantly.
    "So?"
"The new gang isn't a threat. We could make an alliance, or we could kill them all. I don't really care, their "spider" was talking shit about me." I laughed. She wriggled into the sheets, her eyes threatening to close. I let her lay her head on my chest, kissing her head.
"Goodnight darling." She smiled.
"Goodnight." I drifted off to sleep, and visions of Jordie's dead body floated though my mind, trapping me in terrible nightmares.

Oh heyyy! This was short because I'm out of ideas, send help. 🤣
