"i want you so bad, but i can't have you.."

Clem had fucked up. She found out that Violet liked someone else and so they fought. and Clem decided that she wasn't going to be with Violet if she wanted someone else.

"If you can't stop talking to her then... we're over." she didn't mean it... she just wanted Violet to choose her. she wanted to be the only person Violet wanted.

"Clem.." was all Violet could say. she didn't understand her own feelings but she knew she loved Clem. she wanted to cry but didn't want Clem to hear her breakdown.

"i want you bad, i can't, it's not my fault.."

"i.. i need you, Clem.. you mean so much to me.. im sorry.." Violet said, trying to hold herself together.

"i.. i want you but i can't be with you if you like her.. i just can't do it.. not if you're going to still talk to her." Clem said back, tears already welling up in her eyes. she hated being this way. so emotional over Violet.. she hated it.. but, what do you expect? she loves her. they have been together for a year so it's normal for her to mean this much to Clem.

just three days after that fight, they were acting lovey but just not saying they were together, Clem had just gotten out of a shower and her phone went off. it was Violet.

"can we just return to the way things used to be?.."

Violet - we're ok as friends

Clem - uhm, is that a question?

Violet - yeah. it's a question.

Clem - uh yeah sure, why?

Violet - um i can't tell you

Clem - why not?

Clem - nvm i might know.. im just gonna go.

Violet - wait what, clem, no.

at first, Clem didn't answer. but Violet called her again, and again so she eventually answered. 

"What, Violet?" she said harshly, just wanting to leave.

"what do you think it is?" Violet asked her.

"it doesn't matter.. im going to go."

"no. hey.." Violet started

"what."

"what do you think it is?" violet asked again.

"why dont you just tell me what it is? then i'll tell you if its what i thought it was."

"uh.. i, uh... i might have a girlfriend.... i haven't gotten an answer." Violet said, you could tell she felt bad and was also freaking out.

"oh.." was all Clem could say. she had tears streaming down her face now, silent ones for the most part, and Violet just wouldn't stop talking.

"is it what you thought?" 

"yeah.. uh, im gonna... im gonna go.. i hope she says yes.." 

"no, stay, please."

"Violet. im going to go because im not okay right now." but Violet wanted her there, Clem didn't know why.

"Clem.. im sorry.. stay.."

at this point Clem couldn't hold it in anymore. she started breaking down.

"i.. i can't.. im sorry. i need to go. bye, Violet." Clem said, before hanging up the phone and she started hitting the bed while sobbing uncontrollably.

'she never loved me... she already wants someone else.. she's going to fall in love with her now... i won't mean anything to her anymore soon.. her new girlfriend is going to be better than me.. 1 year... 1 year for nothing.. she chose her over me..'
