Chapter 2
Poseidon
My son, Percy, has been missing for 300 years. 300 years ago, he had just disappeared from the earth without a trace. I knew that he wasn't dead. Hades had told me that he wasn't in the underworld because he would have known. He also wasn't taking refuge in the sea. I wished that he had stayed a little bit longer. If he did, then he would have been granted immortality. I have been so worried for him. Why did I say all those mean things to him such a long time ago? "He probably hates me now." I thought sadly.
The other gods and I were having a meeting about the upcoming war and Percy. We had a meeting about Percy and his whereabouts twice a year; on the summer and winter solstice. This time, as usual, nobody had heard anything. Suddenly, this black void had appeared on the ceiling of the throne room and a lot of people fell from it.
"Who are you?" Zeus asked.
"I am Chaos and I am here to help you win the war. I have a son that will lead my soldiers into war with you. My son is also the commander of the army and is the second most powerful being in the universe. My soldiers and will fight for you and help you. Although I must warn you, my commander has a grudge against the gods and I suggest that you don't get on his bad side because he could easily defeat you all."
I was shocked. Their commander must be really powerful. "Now, will your soldiers introduce themselves?" Zeus asked.
"They will except for the commander. He wishes for no one to know who he is." Chaos answered.
"Why?" Athena questioned.
"I already told you. He has a grudge against you. He does not want you to know who he is." Chaos stated again firmly. "Now, with that settled, I will have my soldiers introduce themselves." With that, he vanished from the room.
The first soldier took off his hood. He had sea green eyes and black hair.
"Percy?" I asked hopefully.
"No father. I am Orion, the hunter." He spoke in a deep voice. The next soldier introduced himself. Apparently it was Theseus, another one of my sons. There were some kids that were supposed to be dead in Chaos' army too. Artemis looked overjoyed to see Zoe and Bianca again. For some reason, Zoe seemed to stick by the Commander's side. Hermes even went over to hug his son, Luke.
"How many of my kids joined Chaos' army?" I asked myself. It seems like the sort of thing that Percy would do.
The introductions went on and on until everyone but the Commander had stated their name. I suddenly felt the urge to ask them if they had seen Percy. They have been all over the universe. They might have seen him. I decided to ask. "Have you met or seen a boy named Percy Jackson?"
The Commander responded. "Well, yes. We have run into him a few times over the years." For some reason, the one that called introduced himself as Jake smirked.
"When was the last time you have run into him?" I asked.
"Probably a few days ago, give or take one day or two." The Commander replied. He seemed to have a slight edge to his voice though as if we were getting into a forbidden subject. However, I kept on plowing along.
"Where was he when you last saw him?" The desperation of finding my son could be heard in my voice.
The Commander said, "He rather us keep that a secret. He told us to not tell anyone where he has been and I will hold my word."
"Oh. Okay." I said, disappointed that my son did not want to be found. Zeus then took over.
"I suppose it would be time to send you to Camp Half-Blood now." And with that, the soldiers and their commander disappeared.
