Oikawa Tooru didn't want to see the two of them together anymore.

They were so happy together, it made Oikawa's heart clench in pain.

He loved her, he really did. He wanted nothing more than to be happy for the both of them but his jealousy was prohibiting it.

"Tooru! You'll be coming to our wedding, right?" (Y/n) asked excitedly.

When she looked at him like that, he could never say no.

"I was wondering if you'd like to be my best man," Iwaizumi said nervously.

"Are you sure you want someone like me to be your best man? According to you I'm a shitty person," Oikawa joked.

"Shitty person or not, we've been friends for a long time and wouldn't feel right to have someone standing by me at the altar," Iawaizumi replied.

Oikawa wished he was the one standing at the altar.

'Please, please, I don't want to see this. I don't want to be here,' Oikawa thought as he watched the both of them exchange rings and kiss.

He faked a smile through the entire ceremony for their sakes. He wanted to be happy and celebrate with them but something was holding him back.

Was he a bad friend for falling in love with one?

He left the party early feigning a headache but in truth, he just wanted to be curled up and crying his eyes out in the comfort of his own home.

Why did love hurt this much? Love was supposed to be a life changing experience that brought happiness but all he got in return was pain and jealousy. Maybe it was karma coming for him after all the countless of hearts he had broken back in his teen years.

The second she and Iwaizumi had announced their engagement, he knew it was game over. He didn't stand a chance but then again, did he ever?

(Y/n) was beautiful, funny, kind and everything he wasn't. Iwaizumi was lucky to have gotten such a great catch. Other girls couldn't even begin to compare to her and neither could he; she truly was one of a kind.

Why couldn't he have fallen for someone else? Why couldn't it have been someone else?
