I woke to the sound of an owl hooting. There was a small piece of parchment clamped in its beak. I removed and unfolded it as Obsidian woke up mumbling,"What's that?" I read over it and said,"It's a note from Wisdom. It says to meet them in the center of Mystic in ten minutes." Obsidian muttered,"It's at the center of the five surrounding mountains, where they meet when there's something important going on." Realization dawned on him and he was wide awake,"Let's go! Or we'll late!"
I grabbed the clothes Kindness brought me and rushed into the smaller cave that was linked to the main cave and changed into my outfit. It was a simple outfit with a plain white shirt, black pants, and a white fleece, but then I saw the golden cloak. It was an Oracles' cloak. Why would they give one to me? Maybe it was just a mistake. I would give it back to them when I saw the Oracles. I grabbed my bow, quiver, dagger, and slung the cloak over my shoulder. Obsidian peered at it curiously as I walked out, but said nothing. We decided to walk to the center so that we could get used to our surroundings.
When we got there, I could see Henry wearing a golden cloak like the Oracles. "Why aren't you wearing your cloak?" Agility asked. "I thought that someone put it there by mistake," I replied. Wisdom smiled,"Oh, it wasn't a mistake. Put it on." Her smile faded as I draped it over my shoulders,"What?" I asked curiously. She sighed, "We have something to tell you." I tilted my head and looked at her confused.
"Last night, the other Oracles and we discovered the whole Prophecy." Obsidian asked suspiciously,"What do you mean by that?" She hesitated,"The Prophecy in your dream was only a part of it, we received the full Prophecy last night."We all received it in a dream and interpreted signs. Even Henry got it. Did you Obsidian?" He replied,"Yes." I stared at him shocked and said,"How could you not tell me about it?" He shrugged, "I just thought that you got it too and it would be better to announce it when all the Oracles where here. Are you saying you didn't receive it?"
"I didn't receive the dream. Why?" The look on the Oracles' faces told me that they didn't know. Beauty spoke up, "Maybe it has something to do with what we're facing, we don't know, but right now you need to hear the rest of the Prophecy." I nodded and she recited,
"The girl who was beaten and ran away,
Is destined to fight in attempt to save the day.
You will find her in a dragon's cave,
Where she shall make a decision that shall brave.
When the time is right, her wings will appear.
And she shall battle as the end draws near.
But to succeed, she cannot duel alone.
A boy from her past, from her old home,
Shall be retrieved and help her win.
She will once again see her kin.
One she loves will die,
And she will say her final goodbye.
In the end she will choose,
And it will determine who will win and who will loose.
The traitor shall hold the key.
A war will be fought and go down in history.
A major sacrifice shall be made,
The angel shall rise and lead an army to aid."What did it mean? By traitor, it probably meant the Oracles that turned. A war would be fought and it would be a very important part of history, is what if probably meant. We would have to make a major sacrifice. I thought of Obsidian in my dream, beaten and dying, and shuddered. It could not be Obsidian. And what did it mean by the angel shall rise and lead an army to aid?
I heard Honor talking to Justice,"I already sent letters to all of the villages, so they'll be informed. We should start the training today." She nodded and announced,"Rose, Henry, you will go through an Oracle ceremony tonight. Tonight, you will receive your power." Henry opened his mouth to say something but Justice continued,"It's times like this when age does not matter, you will need your power to defeat the evil that has overcome this world. Those cloaks were no mistake, even if you're not Oracles, you are the ones who are destined to save our world. Do you understand?" We nodded. "Good, tonight, meet us here and wear your cloaks."
Wisdom cut in,"Your power shall be great, considering that you're from the Prophecy. Tonight we will truly know if you are destined for this fate."
